Pre-Ipoh, During-Ipoh and Post-Ipoh

I went to Straits Quay for the first time on Sunday (19 June 2011) which coincided with Fathers' Day so there was a flea market.

Kah Men and I opted for street food so we had these for our dinner.

Besides those food, I also had a cup of organic soya bean milk. :)

I bought a novel by Josh Grisham and a DIY cross-stitch bookmark. I just couldn't help myself whenever I see cross-stitch.

I went back to Ipoh on the 21st June and it was a great trip as usual! Every time I go home, I feel it's my first time after staying in Penang for so long.

I miss the cuties so, so much!

Had a visitor and we went for dessert session at Woolley.

My choice. Delicious! There's konnyaku jelly at the bottom.

On the 24th, it was time to remove the stitches from the Elles.

The same day, I had Mee Rebus Ramli laksa for lunch.

This was how I usually ordered it. Nothing but the noodles and egg.

Another reason I came back this time was because it was my sister's 21st birthday! Happy birthday, Eunice! I know you have a lot of celebrations around so I shall help you celebrate virtually here. Hehehe!!

Today, I had pan mee at Peking Pan Mee shop. It was my first time there and the noodles were not bad. I especially love the soup that came with the dried noodles I ordered.

Later in the evening, with a heavy-laden heart, I set foot on this Transnasional bus and came back to Penang.

I was lucky to get a single seat throughout the entire journey. Good thing the bus was designed that way whereby the first half were double seats and the second half were single seats, 3 in a row.

Back to work tomorrow. I wonder if I still remember what to do at work. Hmm...

Holiday makes me lazy.

Lunch at Hard Rock Cafe

I had an awesome lunch today! Thank you for treating me, aunty! So where did I go for lunch?

Initially I was thinking of going to a stall for lunch so I was not properly dressed. Just shorts with slippers. And Steph's mom took me to Hard Rock Cafe. I felt so embarrassed dressing the way I did walking into the restaurant. I could at least put on a more decent shoes if I knew it. :P

I have selected the grilled chicken skewer topped with percik sauce served with raisin rice and spicy brinjal for main course and lemonade as my drink.

Don't let the picture fool you! The 3 scoops of ice-cream are mini mini scoops. They did look like huge scoops in the picture. That's how advertisement cheats people. Focus the lens real close and you will get the result like this. :)

The Spayed Elles

Today was Surgery Day for the Elles and after today, they are not entitled to celebrate Mothers' Day forever.

The last moments before they officially become barren for a lifetime.

All about Garfield

I should be posting pictures about the Elles but I think I should post about Garfield today. You can't really put cats and dogs in the same post. Okay, I am just giving excuses coz I am plain lazy to upload more pictures. :P

Today, I went to have dinner at the stall where I first met Garfield. I love him very much. My love for cats had grown. Hahaha!!!

I ordered a plate of prawn fried rice which cost me RM6.00 (this is after discount because I had been regular or else it would be RM7.00). Not bad huh? I got a discount of about 14% by dining by the road.

The prawn heads I gave to Garfield which he finished and asked for more. Sorry, kitty, I could only share the prawn heads with you. Not other parts of the prawns, okay?

After dinner, I cat-watched.

The waiting is always the most tormenting part. I feel a tinge of nostalgia because I had the same emotion when I was in Lower Six. The waiting is driving me crazy.

Izdihar has completed her internship last week and I saw a couple of picture that we snapped together.

We went to Khaleel shortly after that and we had a great time eating and chatting before me riding pillion on her bike without a helmet. Hahaha!!!

Another garden wedding

Two days ago, there was another wedding function and I had to help out in banquet again. What a relief it was when I found out it was a garden buffet dinner! This means less energy needed to carry dishes. Hehehe!!

A new place for dinner

There is an increase of variety of food at the area where I am staying. The new stall was just opposite the stall where Kah Men and I experienced the mini typhoon. Today, Alfred and I tried a new stall. Kah Men, we shall eat here another day!


The chicken fried rice that I ordered. Cost RM4. To me, it's delicious.

But Alfred thought otherwise. He felt that the chicken was too dry and the rice was tasteless. Good thing i did not order chicken rice.


The chicken rice that he ordered. RM3.50. The soup was undeniably very oily. He was right about that. But I think the chicken rice wasn't that bad.

Initially, tomorrow was supposed to be my off day but due to the busy period these days, I chose to work and claim my off day another day. So now I can go back earlier on the 22 June! I will have two full days in Ipoh. :)
