all about opportunities..

There's only about a month more to go and I am going to say a sweet goodbye to my holidays. I will move on and go with the flow of time to the place I will soon call my school.

During these times when I have had so much time to think about the past, I thought about something very crucial in life.

Life is like a dessert. You can choose to enjoy it or give it up for the sake of dieting. I realised that there are so many opportunities out there waiting for people to grab hold of them. Yet, most people just let the chances go and blame the world for the sad lives they lead.

Why can't these people get on their feet and keep a wide lookout for those rare opportunities rather than just wait at home for Opportunities to come knocking on their doors?

Success doesn't drop down from the sky.

We only live once. Don't wait for chances to come. Look for them.

goals in life are not goals in football matches..

I am all stuck and lost for words to post up an entry.

Frankly speaking, from the bottom of my heart, I really admire those who really have everlasting ideas to write, be it their lives experiences or just thoughts.

I have no visions on my future or whatsoever, but one thing for certain, I know I will have to go through a hard time in achieving my goals. A whole lump of perseverance and passion in all that I do will certainly contribute a lot in nearing success. Now that I see how tedious it is to get what I want, I was thinking why can't goals in life be like goals in football matches? The players score goals just like eating chocolates!!

I won't say a piece of cake because cakes are hard to eat sometimes. Once the texture is too soft, you'll mess up whatever you are eating it on as it crumbles and breaks into another millions of pieces even if you grasp it gently between your fingers. If it's too hard, you will be eating rock cakes, the ones Hagrid made in Harry Potter. Chocolates are different.

Speaking of chocolates, I am craving for a piece right now. Maybe a bar. It's very funny because I don't mind eating chocolates in BULK (this is a bit too much, I know), but if you were to order me to eat a whole tub of ice-cream, I will say an absolute NO without thinking twice. A second is enough for me to think and answer. It's weird how my brain says YES to chocolates and NO to other fattening desserts.

And I suddenly have the idea that I am a hypocrite. At the beginning of this entry, I claimed to have nothing to say but in the end I have so much senseless things formed in strings of words here. Maybe I am bound to be one. Hate me, I don't care. Love me, and I will love you too. :)

good day..

Having a row with parents isn't something comfortable and it's one of the things I had dificulty dealing with. It happened on April Fool's day and I will always remember this day-not with vengeance, but with a feeling of sorry so that I can be sure that it will never happen again.

Makro hasn't changed much since I have last stepped into it which was so many years ago now that I look back. The only difference I found is that I am so much taller that I could reach up to higher shelves without having to tiptoe.

I love the frozen food department best. The air there is extremely chilly-reminds me of winter (although I have never experienced winter before, not that I am in dear Hot and Humid Malaysia:D)

Overall, it's a good day for me. No, it's a good AFTERNOON for me.:)

Here's the picture of the funny-shaped tomato which is not so funny after all. I am so happy that i could upload the picture although it's not very clear. But still, nature is beautiful even in a blur picture.

I did not do anything to Saffy's rice today. It's just that she had a fabulous meal which no other dogs had in their entire life. Let me present you the MEAL...

And that's why she's now a fully bloated and contented dog. Life is definitely a bed of roses for her. As you can see, I edited the picture through my phone before uploading to beautify it. I admit the size is rather small though.

I don't know what's wrong with DiGi today. I can't seemed to send messages to others. Another connection problem I guess. But the funny thing was, I can only sms my mom. Weird.

It's just incomprehensible how hard to put things in writing when you have so much to say. This is what I am struggling right now.

Every time I browse through the net, going blog-hunting, I realise that the world is filled with so many people with interesting lives and experiences. Talking about fruitful and successful lives...oh, just how I wish I would someday be like them!

I've captured a picture of a tomato with a unique shape. It's not the usual round or oval shape. I should say it looks like two 2/3 of tomatoes sticking to each other. I desperately wanted to post it here, but there's a glitch somewhere.

Anyway, you had the idea how it looked like:)

Had just started reading HP6 (yeah, I know I am outdated!). As I've completely (well, almost) forgotten what happened in Book Five, I struggled in remembering some personalities in the content.

I suddenly felt all my memories in school came back to me in a flash. It makes me think of my dearest chums and strict teachers who cares about nothing but decent behaviour of students in school.

Life was sweet then. How come I didn't realise it before? I do wonder, will life in future ever be as sweet as that..hopefully sweeter.

For the first time in so many days, I feel so happy living on this earth with this cooling sort of weather which lasted from morning till evening.

How I wish the temperature will remain static for a few more days. It's not too demanding to ask for a few days, right?

However, weathers as such tend to provoke certain human life forms to procrastinate-just like me, for example.

I woke up at 5.50 a.m. today and did some work. Then, miraculously, I fell asleep AGAIN and only woke up at 9.30 a.m.!! How powerful the rain can be that it can just put a spell on me and made me sleep for hours when it seemed just like minutes (seconds, probably) to me.

And of course, a sleep that creates beautiful dreams. :o)

It's truly a rare occasion with all the perfect combinations linked together.

I was browsing through the photos today (I am still as bored!) and I noticed something about Black-mouthed. If you are wondering who he is, I'll tell you. Have I told you before that Saffy has 7 other siblings? If I hadn't, this is one of them.

Can you spot it? I mean the peculiar thing about him.

Okay, fine. I'll tell you. Can you see his eyes? They are blue in colour!! Saffy has brown eyes but they are not as charming as BLUE eyes. I love blue eyes. What more a blue-eyed puppy!

when boredom strikes..

What am I doing here at this hour when I should be in dreamland? I don't know. Just feel like blogging so here I am.

Today had been an okay day for me. I won't say that it's a wonderful one, no one has wonderful days without feeling not right for a moment or two on the very same day. If some of you can deny the fact, I have to salute and congratulate you for having a flawless and perfect life. It's just like a fairy tale too good to be true to tell somebody that you lead a perfectly perfect life, no?

Bored. Bored. Bored. When will this kind of lifestyle will be over?

Everyone used to think that life is a bliss without work. It's confirmed a myth! I feel my brain getting rusty after so many months leaving school. School life feels like centuries ago. And I am a century-year-old mummy, rotting away in my antique coffin. Someone please help me get out of boredom!!

Yay!! Finally I got back my blog. That's one thing that I am happy about. I had the worst day yesterday lamenting and nearly cried over my MISSING blog. Thank goodness it's back! It's not that I am such a baby crying over spilt milk, but the fact is that I had put so much effort pouring my thoughts here since October 2004 that it's really hard for me to accept the fact that blogspot had blocked me. I am just too glad that they didn't blacklist me. It's just normal maintenance.

And I have been so silly and foolish and I don't know. Just foolish.

However, I won't be deleting my tabulas account. Just in case anything happens to this one, I can always post my entries there. So if you can't view this one, move to the other one. This is the address.

I am not pretending to be relaxed. I am relaxed. I am saying because I don't know why, somehow, deep within me I feel the peace I've never experienced before.

The Lord is indeed with me at this point of time when the rest of all other people out there are weary and intimidated when tomorrow comes.

I am going to take it as a challenge even if I fail.

friends forever we will be..

I am feeling rather excited. Not because of the dumb result which is coming out in two days but it's because of the reunion with my friends on that day. There are just so many questions I want to ask each and everyone of them like:

How's life?

Where are you going after this?

Will I be seeing you again?

And of course, loads of other questions.

I miss them so much that I can't bear to think how life in school will be like without them. Guess I have to take it as a challenge to start life all over again and make some new friends.

One thing for sure, I'll never forget my old friends. Never.

I went to midvalley yesterday and I strolled till my legs ached so much that I could hardly walk further. I can prove that by putting up the picture of my cracked heels here but on second thought, no, I won't be posting it here because it's just too gross to be looked at.

Saffy ate my art!!

This is one beautiful plate of rice for a dog, don't you think so?

I was too bored that I decorated Saffy's rice.

As you can see, I carefully expressed my creativity into this plate of rice and transformed it into this fine yet simple (or maybe, interesting) piece of artwork.

1. First, I arranged some chicken meat in the centre to be some sort of base so that it'll have a firm foundation.
2. Next, I gave the decoration a bit of colour by putting a tomato on the base.
3. The red dates were plenty so I arranged them in such a way that they formed the petals of a flower.
4. Then, I broke the potatoes into much smaller pieces and lay them in between the 'petals'. And...

TADAA!!

And it's done. The plate was then brought to the DOG and guess what?

She ate my ART first!!

On uneventful days like these, i have absolutely nothing going on my mind. Maybe some unnecessary thoughts but those don't count, do they?

However, I will continue with my updates. I'll do a countdown.

14 days to go. I guess you know what event will be held on that day. You know very well, I know.

And I am suffering from some sort of a joint pain on my left wrist. Whenever I try to twist it 360 degrees, the area straight down from the little finger aches. Ouch!

i don't know but i wanna go back to school!!

It's not as thrilling as I think it would be to be home alone. You see, you get to surf the internet all you want and watch tv till late evening or even sleep. No one cares.

And that's why it's not at all exciting.

I realised it's more fun to have siblings around to snatch the computers and the remotes from you and you are left with nothing but books.

Before, I used to wish that how nice it would be to be the only child in the family, which means, the only treasured jewel of my parents.

Now, when they go to school and my parents had gone to work, I feel lonely. Yes, the Lonely song by Akon is playing in my head repeatedly till my head spins.

I've loads to read and when I am too free to be real, I just feel the energy and the interest to read seeping away from me, leaving just an empty heart for nothing that I do can fill it with satisfaction or happiness.

With dull days like these, I really want to go back to school. No matter how stressful it is, I want to go back so desperately.

I almost fell asleep watching Oliver Twist when I shouldn't. Went to Jusco again today and I saw my dream phone. There's another phone which model I don't know of (it just arrived yesterday) attracted me. It's a twist phone. I'm not sure how much it costs, I only know it's about RM1600 and above.

My life is so boring now that all I talk about every day is about my trip to Jusco, phoney phones and tv programmes that I watch. I've given up in watching Green Rose. Actually, I never takes up the patience to watch the slow-moving show.

Mom will be cooking spaghetti. I am so happy and all excited to eat spaghetti. I am already hungry at the thought of it.

I heard an utterly bad news. SPM result will be out on 13 March 2006. Some said on the 10th but it won't be making a big difference. Hope I won't have a heart failure on that day...

insomnia..and..phones..

I feel really tired at times. And the worst part of it? I can't sleep.

Just as I planned to watch a drama on tv, then my eyes started to droop and dozed off..
I can't sleep when I am suppose to and when I don't want to, there goes my eyes.

Last night, I was tossing on my bed struggling to have a good night sleep. I had difficulty breathing. I know I had a terrible blocked nose and sleeping with it can really kill. I am more than thankful when it finally got unblocked..

Watched Big Momma's House 2 with Evelyn just now and I think it was a pretty good show. It's about an FBI agent who impersonated as a nanny to track down a case. Then, we went to SHADES and saw Siew Wei there. And I am still rotting at home. Not exactly rotting because at least i get to cook to shake off those moss around me.:)

Valentine's Day is approaching but I don't feel anything great about it. It's just a one-day thing where girls are happier than most of the other 364 days because they'll be receiving treats and surprises from their special ones. But it's the other way round for the guys. This will be the day they will cut a hole in their pockets just to buy expensive chocolates, flowers that wither before you know it and pre-booking restaurants months ahead for that special day. Is it all worth it? I am not splashing cold water but it's the fact, that's what I think. So, to those who are coupling (if there is such a word), please don't take what I am saying so seriously coz it's merely an opinion from me.

The 15th day of the first month of the lunar year is fast approaching. My mom had asked me to write my h/p number, home address and also email address on an orange before throwing it into the river. She said that this will ensure me to get a good boyfriend. Well, I don't believe her and I told her I will throw it into the drain. Why? Coz it's nearer to my house and the river is quite a distance away. There's a big one at the junction towards my house. I can throw it there and no one will bother to pick it up because of the stench. I've never known anybody who finds their true love that way. Maybe in the olden days the Chinese do that, but no longer. To me, it's a form of water pollution.;)

SPM result will be out in two years' time!!

My mom told me about her fascinating dream last night. In the dream, she was accompanying me to take my SPM result in school but the teacher told her that the result will only be out in two years' time! My mom asked her about those students who will be sitting for their STPM examination in two years.

"Oh, you don't have to worry. The STPM examination has been abolished."-teacher.
"Then what are they going to do in these two years?"-mom.
"They are going to go for national service while waiting for the result, of course!"-teacher.

And I thought I was the only one who's been thinking about the result. My mom really has creative imaginations!

Time is passing too fast. It's already the fifth day of Chinese New Year. My red packet collection is not that great as I haven't been going visiting much. Saffy is getting on my nerves now. This morning she shitted at mostly every corner of the carpark and I had to wash it. The most interesting part? I chased her across the carpark just to bathe her.I mean is there such species of the DOGS which hates water? She's the first one I've ever known. Maybe she's not a dog after all. She might be some kind of weird creature that looks like a dog.

I've gotten in touch again with my long lost internet friend. Got her number and her new email address. How thoughtful of her to wish me on my birthday. I never thought she'd remember, and she DID!! Will be contacting her more often now that she's staying in KL. I feel a wee bit of guilty because I don't remember her age when she's remembering mine.

Chinese New Year's here in two days' time. Not putting high hopes on getting lots and lots of money as I won't be going out much to collect ang pows. Anyway, somehing is going to cheer me up. My birthday, of course! I'll be celebrating today because the cake shops will be CLOSED during the season. Sometimes it really frustrates me. Whenever my birthday collides with the new year, I won't get any cake and had to pre-celebrate it. Haha. Maybe it's good. I can be 18 sooner than I had expected. My mom didn't plan to get me a cake at first..

"But what about my birthday wish? I need a cake with candles on it so that I can make my wish."

There goes the story of how I got my birthday cake. I am still a child.

an evening like no other..

This was my first time I got on the move after such a long, long time. Well, I went to the playground to play badminton and jogged. Really missed those times during PJ when I have to run and exercise! Honestly speaking, I don't adore the outdoor games when i was in school, but I am so surprised that i am now.

So, my dad, sis, bro and I went. Had a great time smashing the shuttlecock although we (my sis and I) had to bear with the wind which blowed in random directions. My brother, unfortunately can't enjoy being all sweaty as he had hurt his knee, so he just sat and watched us play. It's amazing to get all the excess water out from the body which eventually soaked our shirts. My arm was aching after quite some time so we planned to stop. I suggested jogging around the neighbourhood. Not exactly jogging, but it's something like scout's pace where we had to run and walk alternately. This way, we won't tire ourselves too soon.

I am not the kind who has high stamina so I gave up after running for like....10 minutes? However, I could see that my sis still had the energy to go on. Wow, she really is fitter than me. But she didn't continue because of me. Haha. That's because no one's going to accompany her further.

Reached home at 6.30 pm and Saffy was already at the gate, demanding for her dinner. She put her paw into the empty bowl, prompting me to get her food. How cute! But I acted blur and she kept on jumping on me in desperation. Haha.

Might be going for another time maybe next week. No, most probably. Now that I have nothing to do, I think I should exercise to remove those amount of fats I am gaining every day.

convent is 99 years old today..the grand old lady is still standing tall and mighty with new clothes on this year..yeah..they have repainted the doors and the walls....again...the front section of the wall has been painted a slightly darker brown...no longer peach..

there goes another year..christmas is over..the celebration at church was great with the complete decoration of christmas tree, snowflakes, etc...new year's approaching and no plans just yet..maybe i'll go to sarah's party..

the other day i went to watch king kong with joanna and kimberly..the movie was not bad..as it was a 3-hour show, i can't really remember the details of the story well now..anyway, there was this kid who kept on kicking my seat..another moment, she put her head i between jo's seat and mine, making a gurgling sound..it was a bit distracting though but i could understand that maybe she became restless after such a long time staying put without being able to move around..the best scene of the show? well, i like it when king kong ran on the street with all the toy cars moving about..the graphic's real good..by the way, narnia's still good..can't wait for the next episode to be out..prince caspian..

dull day..

woke up at 10 something this morning and yet i am still feeling sleepy..you know the thrill i thought i would have after spm is not here just yet..maybe it's too soon for it to arrive..it's on its way..well as a matter of fact, i used to think that the holidays after the exam will be fabulous..but it's not what i had expected..at least i'll be trying out a new recipe from books tomorrow..cooking will be fun i guess..

a sigh of relief..

a dog came into my house today..a stray dog..i was shocked when he went near my puppy which was in the cage then..it was really lucky i managed to shoo him away..and now, i am worried whether he will come back again..the funny thing was, saffy only started barking when i started shouting at the dog to get him out of the compound..lol..

spm will officially say farewell to me tomorrow..or rather i am the one saying goodbye to it..so glad that it's FINALLY over..change of plans..not going to work during the holidays..maybe watch movies and laze around at home..or spend more time catching lice from saffy..lolz..

will be going to malacca on the 8th so this will be my very first trip after spm without having the guilt of not studying anymore..i can enjoy myself to the fullest for once..

plans for the holidays..

spm's not even started and i am already making plans for the holidays..shatirah had asked me to go to genting and malacca with a few other friends but i turned it down..why? i wanted to go but i just don't have the courage to ask dad..i know he won't allow me to go for trips with friends without the supervision from adults..

i guess i just have to plan simple hang-outs with friends not across the ipoh border, like jusco and parade? he will definitely allow that, i know..

or maybe just find a part-time job to fill up the excessive amount of time i have at home and get a course or something?

maybe this is not the right time to plan as i haven't even make plans to score in spm..i still want more miracles to happen to help me get through the exam comfortably..

a day trip to midvalley..

class party was yesterday but i couldn't make it so i didn't get to enjoy the food and all..anyway, i had a great time shopping at midvalley..

-my mom bought a red collar for saffy (just in case you 've got no idea who saffy is, she's my puppy)

-a cat from pet's wonderland scratched my dad's finger till it bled

-went hunting for shoes at various shop lots and found two lovely pairs (not for myself though..i think i'll search for mine at the night market;)..)

-ate laksa (my favourite)..we managed to find a place to sit as it's the fasting month..

-strolling and strolling.....and.......strolling....

-mom bought me a hairclip from evita (green colour of course)

we were there for i think about 5 to 6 hours..then we went to the airport and had dinner at kfc...the variety bucket...yummy..(at least i still got to eat kfc in kl when all my friends are enjoying kfc in ipoh)

yay!! time to rejoice as trial is over..i got back three subjects so far and thank God that the results weren't too bad..i don't know about science subjects though..not too high hopes to score any A's for those..anyway, teacher added one mark for my english paper which came as a surprise as she will never give extra marks for borderline cases like mine..

finally physics is over and it's time to bury myself in chemistry..can't wait to get it over and done with..now that trial is almost over which is much to my relief but another feeling is sinking in..the i-don't-want-to-get-back-results feeling is here once again but at the same time i am curious..i want to know the results but i don't want to get it..that's weird and i know it..

i just hate it when i have to go to school on a saturday..

cold brain cells..

i don't know what i am doing here since i am supposed to go to bed now..i've had the best weather yesterday..such a cool day to sleep in..however, the temperature increased this afternoon and the cool sort of feeling i felt yesterday or rather early this morning vanished..biology managed to get inside my brain better..now i know the trick..if you want to remember your facts and the weather is warm, just stick your head into the refrigerator for a moment or two..cold brain cells absorb better..this is proven this morning when i was getting through biology..try it and tell me whether it works because the temperature was fine this morning and i didn't get the chance to try the refrigerator..

soon, i have to say goodbye..

it's now a few minutes past 12 of 3 september..i couldn't believe that i'll be sitting for spm trial exam in two days' time..time is just moving unbelieveably and mysteriously fast..too fast the speed which i dislike..it's just funny that i used to think that i want to be out of school as soon as possible when i first came to secondary, but when my life in high school is about to end, there are some things that make me dread the moment to step out permanently from school..

i'll miss life buying food from the canteen, the moments i shared with a bunch of crazy and fun-loving friends..and of course, the jokes cracked during the dull moments in our beloved history teacher's class (note: parts of the jokes were about her but she's just too obsessed in 'teaching'..well, she didn't really teach as i didn't understand a single thing she said..not bothered to listen though)..maybe i'll be missing the teachers (not her, mind you! if you know who i meant..you should know anyway)..signing off here as fiona's going to experience spm in dreamland..(~_~)

it's exactly a month before i have to enter the hall with the tensed atmosphere and get myself seated on the not so comfortable plastic chair and start writing...! writing about stuff i've learnt in school and at the same time squeezing all the juices out of my brain until it's really dry..that's when i'll give up writing and leave the answer sheet blank and attempt to doze off into dreamland where i had wonderful dreams about scoring a string of A's for spm......

but hey! i've got to wake up! dreams may be beautiful but i mustn't get carried away..i must be practical..the cert won't drop down from the sky just like that..i will have to earn it with my malfunctioning brain..seriously it's not working very well these days as i tend to forget things rather easily..it doesn't matter whether it happens ten seconds, ten minutes or even ten hours ago..i often forget..the other day i left my books on a table and the next moment i was looking really hard for it because i just couldn't remember..then another friend pointed out to me the place where i'd left them..what can i say? alzheimer is already striking me at such a young age..

my eyes are hurting..too much of staring at the screen..books aren't helping..my eyes won't get hurt but they get heavy and sooner or later..........you know what happens when you are reading a history textbook? i need not say it..you already knew the answer..

getting worried..

it's july now..the day is getting nearer..there's only 2 months left for me to prepare for trial exam..today there was a career talk in school and i found it really informative..however, the variety of jobs introduced by the speaker did not interest me..i have my own dream and i will pursue nothing else but it..only that career will make me feel comfortable (i hope)..i am not too sure whether i'll be happy but i know i will try my best in order to achieve this ambition..

now for the time being, i can feel the pressure to study increasing..just like in a pressure cooker..imagine that my life is being cooked..frankly speaking, i am going through a hard time..i am feeling worried but i can't help imagining the future and the picture of failing to get the results i always wanted..

today is open day in school..it was indeed a relief that teacher didn't comment much about me..so the meeting took less than five minutes..anyway, i was just glad that it was over really quick..
