An off day without movie marathon
The week passed by so quickly that it was another off day for me again. Remember the previous off day I went movie marathon? Oh well, I didn't go for a movie marathon yesterday because I was bankrupt. Erm, more to save money for a better cause actually. :)
So I had a mission to go to Prangin to make a purchase of a new drama in the market. The initial plan was to eat chicken rice near my place but the stall was not opened. So I went straight to the mall and had my lunch there.
The char koay teow stall at Prangin Food Court also sells chicken chop rice at RM4.50 with a free fried ice-cream. He guaranteed the chicken chop rice to be delicious but I was really surprised. Not in a good way.
I think it is a bit of a rip-off because there is nothing else but chicken and rice. I thought chicken chop rice should at least have some cucumber slices at the side. But the fried ice-cream is good so no further complaints.
This is how it was packed. First time seeing someone takes a dumpling home like this? Hehehe!
Not only she helped me opened the wrapping of the dumpling, she also cut it for me and 'seasoned' it with chili sauce. Yum yum! I have never eaten dumpling in such a pampered way.
So what was the drama that I bought? You see, I plan to only buy one set of drama but I ended up buying two. Drama addicts like me are too lazy to go for another round of bus trip to purchase another drama.
I am currently looking forward to next month. We are going to have family reunion again. You will appreciate your family more if you are working outstation and reunion like this does not come frequent. :)
Happy birthday, Uncle Ho!!!!! Have a blessed birthday this year. :),

Dream House and The Cat marathon!
Today is my off day and I had an interesting outing with me and myself. With Elaine too in the evening. :)
Went for a movie marathon again today and I watched The Cat: Two Eyes That See Death and also Dream House.
This movie has the usual Korean scares and worth watching. A little bit like Dark Water at the end of the movie but... I shall let you watch it yourself. :)
The plot reminds me of Shutter Island but more interesting. There is nothing scary about the movie but the ending is unexpected. Go watch it!
As there was a break of an hour or so between the movies, I went food-hunting and saw this paratha roll kiosk so I was thinking, why not?
BBQ chicken in paratha with home-made soya bean at RM4.90. Quite a reasonable price eh? It'd delicious.
My three-layered tea. Diabetic induced. People, don't drink this often. It's bad for your health. Hahaha!!!

First Sunday of October in Penang
Happy Sunday to all of you! Went to church this morning and the topic was on faith. One quote that I like in the sermon was
"A person can live 40 days without food, 4 days without water and 4 minutes without air but not 4 seconds without HOPE."
Isn't that inspiring? As mere human beings, we need hope to be happy and lead a worry-free life. And what might that hope be? Of course, the answer is Jesus! Count upon him in everything you do because no one can provide the hope and love greater than His.
I feel refreshed after the sermon and I realise many times, I try to be independent and solve my own problems but that is not the way God created us to be. We are made to depend on Him, in good times or bad.
Oh yea, I met a new friend today. Before the service started, there was this pretty lass who took the initiative to sit next to me. It was too bad I did not have much chance to talk to her and all I know about her was her name was Eveleen and her right shoe was broken today. Sweet girl. Hope I can see her again the next time I go for service.
I am getting so lazy to blog nowadays. Currently watching a drama entitled Lives of Ommision - a series that depict the story of undercovers.
A note to mom: Hope you get well soon. Take more rest and move less for the time being till the wound is healed. May God's healing hands continue to be upon you. :)

No Monday blues!
Another two days of working and I will be back to Ipoh for a 6-day holiday.
Another two days of working and I will be getting my salary.
Now that's something happier to share about.
This morning, Elaine and I went for breakfast at the famous nasi lemak stall opposite Rasa Sayang. Now I understand why it's famous. I've been wanting to try for a long time but because I am staying 20-minute of walking distance away, I never got the chance to. Thanks Elaine for fetching me! :)
And we ordered teh tarik as the accompaniment to the nasi lemak that we had. Bravo to mom for she guessed correctly what I had. How is that you are able to guess it's teh tarik before I tell you? You really have bionic eyes nose and eyes to see and smell what I am up to. Hehehehe!!!
Oh and the only picture I have with Joan.
At Pastamania, the empty restaurant!
I think today will be a good day although my alarm clock died on me this morning. Just changed the batteries and it is working fine again. :)
Have a great Monday, everyone!

Joan
It's my first time going out with Joan today and although it was a short outing of food and shopping, we enjoyed ourselves much.
We first had our breakfast at McD and we were the last to order breakfast for the day. The clock struck 11am when we went to our table with our tray of food. We halved the food as we were planning to have lunch at Gurney Plaza.
Joan very happy to be photographed with the breakfast tea.
We strolled around in the mall for quite a bit, going high and low the complex searching for some outlets that sold reasonable priced clothes. I was really tempted to shop but I resisted.
To think of a place to have lunch could be a headache. We could not find anything that we felt like eating at that moment at the lower ground so we went higher and higher till we reached Pastamania.
The 7-inch pizza that we halved. We shared almost everything. :)
I was feeling a little full so I didn't order my all-time favourite lasagna.
The potato waffles at RM4.90.
This intrigued me. They actually counted how many they served!
I wonder if the figures can be counted on.
After that, we strolled for a bit and rushed off to the bus-stop to wait for the bus to fetch us to the resort.
I will miss you and your gang, Joan. :) Let's meet up again when you are in Penang or when I go to Johor!

Kim Gary, Gurney Plaza
Had dinner with Elaine at Kim Gary, Gurney Plaza last night. The food choice was quite good and I settled for noodles!
And I ordered my very first boiled Coke with ginger.
Very soothing sort of drink. I love it.
My pick! Korean Spicy Noodles with Chicken Chop! RM15.50.
Comes with kimchi too!
I definitely indulged too much. That's why I am only going to watch two movies on Monday with no popcorns! Hahaha!

I just woke up
Yes, I just woke up from my 8-hour sleep of the day. Time to cook up a blog post so you don't have to keep staring at the lazy post below. :)
Three days ago, I was in Ipoh for the Mid-Autumn Festival and I had lots of fun. I saw a dog which looked like Shaggy but it is a cross-breed between a Husky and a Poodle. He was the pet of my sis' friend, Hui Qi.
See how cute it was!
So sorry for the picture quality. I have a bad camera phone. :P
A slightly clearer shot of the cute dog.
The following day, I went for breakfast with Eunice and I ordered the most predictable American Breakfast; something that I usually have when I was still in Ipoh. It was still as delicious. I know. How could sausages and egg taste any different? They were instant food after all!
I finally got to drive my new car and I am still in the process of getting the parking right. In due time, I will be an expert!
Oh yes, I need to feature the two darlings. They are getting stronger and bigger as days go by.
Meet the Elles!
There was sort of a warehouse sale at Ipoh Parade and I managed to get a good haul for my new bed.
The whole set (comforter + bedsheet) with 330 thread count at RM89 only! The original price was at RM499! It's such a good bargain. :)
Dad took us to Sushi King for dinner on the 13th September and we ate some sushi and it amounted to RM40 something. I don't remember the exact figure but it was within the RM50 range. Next round, we must go to Sakae Sushi. Heh!
First day of night shift is over. Second night will be here in less than 7 hours! I am a vampire again for 5 nights minus the blood-sucking ritual.
I want to play the Sims 2! What a sudden craving for Sims. I don't know why.

Excuse me for being lazy.
I admit, I have been lazy in updating my blog but I am not going to give excuses of why I am lazy. There is no excuse. I just feel lazy to type.
Okay, now that is an excuse.
I realise that as I got older, I am getting more and more speechless and less and less outspoken in terms of expressing myself online. I only have one sentence to say for this post.
I AM GOING BACK HOME FOR MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL!
Till another meaningless entry.
Bye!

Today is a Smurfy day!
I am back home and the The Smurfs is a very hilarious movie. I don't mind watching it for the second time.
From left: Clumsy Smurf, Grouchy Smurf, Papa Smurf, Smurfette (my favourite character), Gutsy Smurf and Brainy Smurf
The Smurfs trailer 2 by FilmBoy-gr
The story begins in The Smurf Village where the Smurfs were all preparing for the Blue Moon Festival. On an unfortunate (or rather fortunate) twist of events, Clumsy led another five of his family into the human world via a vortex that is magically opened during the rise of the Blue Moon. And the hilarious adventure begin with Gargamel, the evil sorcerer closes in, hunting them to obtain their Smurf essence.
The Smurfs!
Today is my off day! The initial plan is to watch The Smurfs at 2.10pm but since it rains, I postpone my plan to watch the later show at 4.05pm.
Looking forward to it!

Night Shift
Yes, I have been lazy in updating again. I don't blame anyone for my laziness but I am living a bat life for five nights. That's because I am working in night shift and I sleep during the day and work during the night. But that doesn't mean I can excuse myself from blogging right? :)
I know.
So what do I think about working nights? I think it is quite interesting because it is way quieter in the night and the work pressure is less felt. I enjoy it. The downside is of course I have to sleep during the day which is not so normal. I am slowly adjusting to the shift and I have another two nights to go before going into afternoon shift.
It's going to be payday again soon! I love my work. :)

Dinner at Claypot Place and the debut of The Car
Elaine took me to a new place for food today. After watching The Loan Shark, we headed to a place with claypots.
From the top left: Claypot 'Hong Bak' Pork (Nyonya style), Brinjal with minced meat and Thai style tofu.
It tasted like the usual Thai style tofu from other places.
This one is special. I had so much potatoes and I thought they put a little too much potatoes. I later found out Alfred and Elaine didn't manage to eat the potatoes. Oops!
My favourite! Quite delicious and it reminded me of Poh San's cooking.

Love is the Only Answer
The trailer of Love is the Only Answer.
There's a little influence from My Sister of Eternal Flower at some point of the movie.
Orange pillow for the butt
I am in love with Orange. I have an orange phone and I recently bought two litres of Orange-fragrant body shampoo and now I am looking at an Orange pillow.
Maybe I should paint my car orange too.

Barley
Barley is believed to be a preventive cure for cancer and cardiovascular disease as well as Type 2 Diabetes.
The origin of barley. This is how a barley plant looks like. It's wonderful to know that each grain has a priceless value for deterring deadly diseases.
The grains freshly plucked from the plant. This grains look very different from the regular Ipoh barley grains that I see. Hmm...
Look! These grains look more familiar, don't you think?
Another shot of the grains with a human touch to it.
Barley stew with onions and carrots. This picture makes me go hungry.
