More of Blogthings

Once again, I tried out some quizes from Blogthings. This is what happens when I got tired of doing assignments.

What's Important to You... And What Isn't:

For you, your career is usually your number one priority.

You don't mind having things to get done... as long as they don't pile up on you.

Your most important priorities get your attention. You are happily able to let the less important things slide.

You want thinking to be a high priority, but you don't take enough time for yourself.

You Are Pretty Charming

While you're not a natural charmer, you can be charming when you want to be.

And lucky for those around you, you usually feel like turning on the charm.

You project a happy, calm image - even when you're feeling the exact opposite.

You make people feel great about being around you... though you're not always up for putting in the effort.

Your Observation Skills Get A C-

You tend to notice the big things in life...

But the details aren't exactly your forte

You Are Impact

You are very unique and quite striking. You are forceful and aggressive.

You never go unnoticed, and people recognize your power instantly.

While you make your presence known, your message is a bit fuzzy.

You are not the easiest person to understand, and you're not one for details.

You Are 40% Addicted to Blogthings

Okay, so you know how to take and post a Blogthing.

But you're no addict. (Hey, this quiz *proves* it!)

For you, Blogthings is more of a healthy habit.

At least, that's what you tell yourself!

You Are A Relationship Rescuer!

You don't ruin relationships, if anything you keep them together

The key: you respect yourself and your guy. Which goes further than you might think.

You simply treat your guy how you would like to be treated... the old golden rule.

And in return, he treats you like gold - or at least tries. And how perfect is that

You Can Hang With the Guys and the Girls

You've struck a good balance between girlie and laid back.

You can keep it casual but when you dress up, you are as girly as the next girl.

You Are a Champagne Woman

A true mystery, no one can quite figure you out...

That is, until you start drinking. Then you tend to let loose.

You're fun to drink with, but it definitely takes you a few drinks to loosen up.

You prefer to date a man who likes the finer things in life... like a five star dinner with that champagne.

Your Weight is Ideal

Your BMI is 18.8 - a healthy BMI falls between 18.5 and 25

Congratulations, you are the perfect weight for your height.

Even though you may not be entirely happy with your weight, you are healthy.

So gain or lose a few pounds if you want, but don't go too crazy!

Don't agree? Blame the government standards we based this test on!

Your Life is Rated PG

Your life is pretty family friendly. The worse someone is going to get from you is brief nudity or toilet humor.

Your Scholastic Strength Is Deep Thinking

You aren't afraid to delve head first into a difficult subject, with mastery as your goal.

You are talented at adapting, motivating others, managing resources, and analyzing risk.

You should major in:

Philosophy

Music

Theology

Art

History

Foreign language

You Are a Great Student

You aren't afraid to crack the books when you need to, and you make your education a true priority.

You could become a PhD in anything, if you set your mind to it. There's no limit to what you can learn!

You Are An Invisible Ex

You're so over your ex, you hardly even remember you have an ex.

You prefer leave all of the baggage behind you - far, far behind.

As they say, indifference is the opposite of love!

You Are a Life Blogger!

Your blog is the story of your life - a living diary.

If it happens, you blog it. And you make it as entertaining as possible.

You may be guilty of over-sharing a bit on your blog, but you can't help it.

Your life is truly an open book. Or in this case, an open blog!

You Are a Good Girl

You are 80% Good and 20% Bad

Generally speaking, you're a very good girl.

(But you don't have us totally fooled!)

You Sometimes Know When Someone's Lying

You can spot a liar if the liar slips up, but you're not always aware of other people's dishonesty.

Eventually a liar will reveal himself, and you usually will figure out if you've been lied to.

However, someone could be duping you without you knowing it. So watch out for the telltale signs of lying!

Guys Like That You're Sensitive

And not in that "cry at a drop of a hat" sort of way

You just get most guys - even if you're not trying to

Guys find it is easy to confide in you and tell you their secrets

No wonder you tend to get close quickly in relationships!

You Are an Apple

You are strong, powerful, and even a bit stubborn at times.

You have enough strength to help those around you in trouble.

You are adventurous and charming. Many people are drawn to you.

You love life, and you enjoy traveling the world. You enjoy fine food, art, and culture.

People have accused you of being a snob, but that's not accurate.

You do enjoy the best things in life. Unlike snobs, you truly appreciate quality... not just pretend to.

You Are Chardonnay

Fresh, spirited, and classic - you have many facets to your personality.

You can be sweet and light. Or deep and complex.

You have a little bit of something to offer everyone... no wonder you're so popular.

Approachable and never smug, you are easy to get to know (and love!).

Deep down you are: Dependable and modest

Your partying style: Understated and polite

Dear Eve,

If you are reading this, I just want you to know that no matter how far I am from you, you can still pour out your problems to me for you are one of my bestest friends and I want to be there for you. I know God is putting you through a series of challenges but I am sure you will be able to overcome it. Trust me, I have seen you overcome bigger problems before. What can be more difficult than handling the 'monster' way back in Form 6 (I don't think 'the monster' reads my blog anyway)?

Being away from hometown can be sickening as you will meet new people and these new people who do not know your past will not understand you in the shortest time. Fret not, you will soon get acquainted to your housemates and everything will be fine. When you said that you are struggling because I am not with you, I think this is the time that God has set apart for you to get to know yourself and learn about how the world really works i.e. meeting strangers and coping life living under the same roof with them.

I remembered your mom telling me to take care of you when we entered Form 6 but you actually did fairly well without me. I was the one being dependent on you. I was the one who needed you to guide me to take the town bus back home. You learnt independence so much quicker than I did.

Cry no longer for the tears are better saved for things much worthwhile. Swollen eyes do not look good on anyone. I wish I could just stretch out my arms and give you a warm and encouraging hug so that you will have the strength to cope with your problems.

I will not abandon you and my number is always available twenty-four-seven for a chat. Don't you just love the phone? No matter how depressed you are, you can still talk to someone you are comfortable with no matter how far that person might be.

And I am glad that the person is me.

Do take care always and may God bless you in everything.

Your chum,
Fiona

Indulgence pictures

Finally the pictures are uploaded by our dear photographer. Thanks a bunch!

Four of us while waiting for our food.

Patricia and I

(See, I didn't call you 'lou ling'. Oops!)

The section where we sat.

The beautiful lightings and the fan. I love the antique look of the ceiling.

Crockery and cutleries

The cruet set.

The sugar was yellow in colour so we mistook it for cheese. 'Cheese' has never tasted so sweet. Yuck!

Hot lemon tea.

Corn bread and the salty butter which I liked very much.

Passion and mango fruit drink.

I thought it was banana juice at first. =P

The graffiti on the wall.

Chicken bolognese spaghetti

My lasagne

Ju Dee's 'favourite and most memorable' dish. Tuna Vue.

Puffed Chook. Looked so tempting.

Some pictures of their achievements

The ladies

The gents

I am so sorry but you seemed to be the only seat available under Indulgence.

Ju Dee fell in love with it instantly.

Another picture before we left.

It was raining when this picture was taken.

This was how much we ate.

P/S: There's this stupid Malay pervert who had nothing better to do, not even nonsense deliberately hit my hips with his filthy wrist as I walked past when I went for dinner. Idiot, you did that on purpose and you think I am as idiotic as you not to notice. Totally brainless. I am not going to curse you or anything but I just wish that the next time you try to attempt to molest others, you will get caught and get sent behind bars in the zoo and be molested by the smelly hands of gorillas and monkeys for eternity. That serves you right.

Indulged with Fury a.k.a. Chocolate

Today marked a memorable day as I stepped foot into Indulgence to get indulged for the very first time. No kidding. Let's start with the moment I walked in. I had no idea which direction I should go to as the rest were not there yet so I attempted to call Patricia when one of the waiters there directed me to the left section of the restaurant.

So that was when my experience started and I will save the story until the photos are uploaded by our photographer of the day a.k.a. Ju Dee.

Fast forward to the next agenda: Jusco.

We finished our 'mission' at Indulgence so I followed Ju Dee to Jusco to get her hair shampoo. Initially that was the plan, but she ended up didn't buy anything because the shampoo was too expensive to her liking. So the four of us - Patricia, Bih Tong Ju Dee and I went to stroll (or what I prefer to call window shopping) and entered several shops like Padini (where I saw a beautiful outfit but did not try it on for I fear I will want it even more) and we forced Bih Tong to try wearing a skirt. After much persuasion, she finally obliged. She looked good in that skirt we (Pat and I) chose for her and she dared insult us by saying that it was ugly. It WASN'T, okay?

After getting bored of the shop, we went to NOSE and try on some shoes. I tried on a pair of 4.5-inch and I felt my ankle straining. But the shoes were really nice in terms of the colour and the design. It's just too bad that I don't feel comfortable wearing them.

Then it was movie time! Prior to the strolling we did, we actually bought tickets to watch Fury/Chocolate (I have no idea why it had two titles) which I thought was not my type of movie but it totally surprised me. It was real good! In my honest opinion, the stunts are better than Jackie Chan's. Go and watch it yourself and you will know what I mean. In most films that I have watched, the fighter would always be a guy and the girls were often portrayed as meek/gentle/sexy/whatever stereotypes people have towards the female counterparts.

It's been a long day and I am too lazy to do my assignment. It happens. Most of the time.

One novel down!

Just completed reading The Kite Runner and now I feel like watching the movie. The story is so empowering and I was so into the story that I was imagining myself on the dusty streets of Kabul during war and being part of the community there eating naans (okay, maybe not naans as the people there could not afford even that during the war). One thing I feel sad (not really sad but it's just a tiny bit of emotion you will feel when you read something so regretful) about was Hassan dying without knowing his true heritage. He was not a full-fledged Hazara but he was actually a mixed Pashtun and Hazara.

Going back to college tomorrow. Halfway through assignments and still digging for ways to organize the chapters.

Siti Nurbaya is actually quite nice. For those who are clueless, it's actually the new Indonesian drama currently being broadcasted on TV3 every Monday to Thursday from 2.30-3.30 p.m..

Well, Sapphire Blu, I will watch online since I can watch whenever I want to. =)

Post Barbecue

Barbecue last night was so much fun. As usual, all photos are stolen from Miss WTC a.k.a. What The Crab!

Before the sun sets and while the pit is still cold.

It was finally dinner time!

I looked as though I love the potato but actually its texture was like apple but does not taste like apple so it's pretty dry and awful. =(

The best chicken wings of the night.

Later, when everyone had gone back, we continued our barbecue night further with the leftovers we had.

More chicken wings and fishballs and also capsicums!

Meet my new friend, Ju Red (on the left) with Patricia (catching the redness from Ju Red)! She was so red that I think her blood vessels were going to burst right then.

Mr. Foong and I

The 'opening ceremony' was awesome if it wasn't because of the melting stirrers. But it was really cool when the whole stack was catching fire before they come tumbling down.

Simply beautiful. I don't think we will ever see this again.

Group picture!

Post barbecue: My throat is feeling dry and I could sense the soreness about to visit my throat. Miss Nurainie lent me a book entitled 'The Kite Runner' and I am planning to finish it before the week is out.

P/S: Result is out and I wonder how I fared. Can't be bothered to worry about what is already done. Got to get back to assignments.

Late nights

Wake me up when September ends.

Indeed. I have wasted a free GSC ticket to watch any movies with asterix simply because I just could not find time to watch. Let's talk about today/yesterday/whatever (I am always confused about whether I should call 30th September yesterday or today as I am not sleeping yet. So I think it ought to be today).

It was my parent's 22nd anniversary. Wow! Can you just believe it? They are already married for 22 years. It is a long period of time and I wonder whether my own marriage will last that long (if I ever get married that is).

I have started on assignments and they are really daunting tasks.

Let's talk about happier stuffs. Okay, in about twelve hours from now, I will be off to my lecturer's place to prepare for barbecue later at night. I am looking forward to that.

Went to Kawanku yesterday and I must say this: Rooney a.k.a. tau fu zai can cook delicious dishes especially the taufu.

(Ju Dee, please do not scream okay? Go to our group in Facebook for the taufu pictures. They are lovely. Snapped especially for you.)

I am blogging at this kind of hours again. This time, I am not insomniac. I am sleepy so this will be my last word. Period.

Oh, I almost forgot.

Selamat Hari Raya to all!!

I have a new pet named Smudgie. Crystle, I disown you now.

That was obviously a joke.

This morning we took Crystle for her second vaccination. Too bad I forgot to snap the pictures in the examination room but here are better pictures. There were some very cute puppies outside the veterinary and I was hugging one which I found to be the most adorable.

If I were to have her, I think I would name her Smudgie.

Look at the smudges on her nose area. So cute!

Another picture of dear Smudgie.

This is Smudgie's sister. She is a more reserved pup compared to Smudgie and the rest.

Dr. Gilbert (the vet)'s son. He looks so ABC-ish to me. The pup he was carrying actually bit him (not a painful one of course) and now he is trying to get his revenge by strangling her. Haha...

Smudgie loves being cuddled.

I will call this one Saffron as she reminds me so much of Saffy.

I still miss Saffy.

Look at the camera and smile! Saffron loves being photographed.

The other siblings.

The two eldest pups in another cage.

This is Crystle after her vaccination. I was hoping to see her jumped up when the doctor inserted the thermometer into her butt but she didn't.

Dr, Gilbert said 'Sodomised!' when he inserted the thermometer into her butt. So funny that everyone in the room laughed. Didn't know he would be so humourous as he looks serious most of the time.

Back at home , stronger than ever.

On another note, I don't know how to get my assignments started. Maybe procrastination is coming for a visit again. IT ALWAYS DOES THIS! Especially when I have something important to do.

I have less than a month to complete 3 assignments which is equivalent to 7.5k words?

Let's divide that with 25 days (the number of days in between today and the due date).

7500/25=300 words per day.

I just need to write 0.3k words a day. Isn't that just wonderful?

Assignment is here to kill

Sometimes things work out in the most mysterious ways.

I was mentioning about not getting my assignment questions yesterday/early morning today and when I stepped into class this morning, I could see the oh-so-white-and-bright A4 paper in my lecturer's hands. One lesson learnt:

Be careful of what you wished for.

Class today was pretty okay and something interesting happened when I saw a lizard on the wall at the far end of the class above the whiteboard. I then asked sir:

"Is the lizard dead?" (that question came through my mind because it had been remaining static for so long)

Then Ju Dee heard me and she started screaming when she heard me said 'LIZARD'. It was so hilarious! I think her voice can be heard from the ground floor.

There are plans made for the coming Raya break and I hope all will work out unlike the previous plans.

A note to Ju Dee: Do not be stupid. Being bulimic will kill you. God's creativity never fails so please do not change the beauty He had made in you. I love you the way you are. Everyone does!

Insomniac

The first week of my second semester had gone by like the breeze in the open sea. Just a snap of a finger and here comes the second week. So far the assignment questions are not here yet (I wish they are lost in post) and I am glad. Well, I shouldn't be glad because the later it comes, then the shorter duration that I have to complete and hand it up.

I don't know why I am typing at this time. Maybe I just feel guilty for not updating when I know I have things to write here? Probably that is the case.

It's late so I shall go have my beauty (not such a beautiful time to start sleeping, I know) sleep now.

Zzz....Zzzz....Zzzz...

(~.~) I wish I can sleep like this every night at the right time.
