A day out

Working life saps all my energy away but with great friends around you, the energy seems to come back even after a lethargic day at work. That's the wonder of friendship.

Yi Rong came to Penang and we went out with his other two friends. Went to Nando's for lunch and then off to Red Box for K session. Rachel and Khai Pin, nice to meet you. I am happy to meet you both. Yi Rong, don't be jealous okay? I am happy to meet you too after a long time not seeing you. :)

The initial plan was to head to the beach to watch the sunset but the K session only ended at 7pm so we ended up eating at James Foo Western Food. I tell you, that place is so popular that it is over-crowded during weekdays. Rachel said it is almost impossible to go there during the weekends.

Now why is it so famous?

For one thing, the western food is priced reasonably. The quality of the food is really not bad too!

The lime juice that I ordered. The best remedy to prevent sore throat after consuming lots of black pepper sauce.


Yi Rong's hotplate of beef. We teased him saying the beef was from Hari Raya Haji since his food came the fastest.

Grilled chicken with black pepper sauce. Not my first choice because my first choice was not available. They ran out of BBQ sauce. Sigh. Good thing the black pepper sauce was tasty too.

Missing the Elles!

I miss the both of them. Their antics and just the way they make me laugh.

The schedule of the week is out once again. Can you believe it? I only have three weeks left in SMC and then I will be going to another brand new environment. I am excited to find out all there is to it for me to learn.

Cat gave birth to a puppy!

It's nearing the end of another week! How time flies! I only have another 3 more weeks in SMC before moving on to another department. So far, all have been good. Of course, there are times when I feel frustrated but it is normal when you work with people. Just take it with a pinch of salt and everything will be fine. Thank God for patience!

Just saw a news about a cat giving birth to a puppy! So cute!

A quite lazy entry

Not the first time having breakfast at McD but it was indeed the first time ordering the family breakfast box. The name of the set sounded so heartwarming. :) Togetherness.

After breakfast, I got on the bus and headed north to Butterworth.


After a two-hour journey from Medan Gopeng, I finally reached the bus terminal at Penang Sentral.

It was windy on the ferry. The best thing was, it was cold win. Not the hot wind you get on a regular fine weather.

A quarter after noon, I finally reached my destination. Wait a minute, grab a lunch before preparing for work first!

My morning in Ipoh started off with dim sum from Kao Lee! I have not been having dim sum for a long time except for frozen dim sum from Rasa Sayang.

Best Groomed Dog Contest at Komtar!

Friends came over to have their Sunday Brunch yesterday. I had a mini reunion with them too!

Sunday Brunch - the busiest period in SMC every Sunday

I always love to work in the morning but not on Sundays. Why? The Sunday Brunch is always a crazy period. Today is no exception. Tomorrow will definitely be a better day. It always happens that way. :)

Every day, I can't help but to think that I am truly blessed in every way. I am so happy every moment of my life. Before this, I thought that I would be miserable but no, I actually enjoyed myself up to this moment. Training life has been fun so far. I will definitely savour every moment I have because this half of the year is very important and precious. Besides, the chance only comes once.

Back to today.

I had ayam masak merah with rice for lunch and nasi goreng kampung for dinner. I had an awesome meal. Delicious. Sumptuous. Yummy. Just put in any positive adjective that you can link with food. Penang is a haven for food!


Spent quality time with Kah Men eating this. :D

Going back to Ipoh the day after tomorrow! Though it will be a short trip, I know I will enjoy myself tremendously.

Yet another Saturday. Time flies!

The service at PCC was great today! Although I was late by 20 minutes because the bus made too many stops along the way. It was okay though. I enjoyed myself worshiping God in the precious last ten minutes or so. :D

Mystery solved!

After three months

I can't believe it's been more than three months since I have come to Penang. Life has been good so far and it all has to do with God's kindness and His overflowing blessing. For a start, I have never expected to be able to go to church regularly here but He makes it possible. On March 5, PCC has started their third English service in the evening so it means I can go to church anyhow no matter what shift I am working in the weekends. If I am working in the morning shift, I can attend the evening service and I can go to the Sunday morning service if I am in the afternoon shift.

I have been in Spice Market Cafe (SMC) for a month now. My supervisor is so kind to me that he said he will be giving me my off day and public holiday replacement for Labour Day back-to-back! This means I can go back to hometown for the weekend!! Praise be to God for His goodness! I can go back see the cuties again. :D

It's another week again!

Sweet and sour chicken for the soul

I always love morning shift. This is one reason why.


Dinner at Pinang Emas. Sweet and sour chicken a la Malay style (RM5).

Was hunting for socks and so I strolled at the night market. Couldn't find any and as I walked, I got nearer and nearer to Eden Parade and tried my luck there. Finally found them and purchased two pairs of black socks and a tube of hair gel for work purpose. The rebonding cream didn't seem to work. Hope this Revive Hair Gel worked. :)

Mixed entry

The economy rice near Pinang Emas is not bad. So far I have been there twice.


What I had on Saturday (2 April). That patty is made of mashed potatoes and minced chicken meat.

These few nights had been busy so I finished work late. My supervisor, Krishnan decided to reward us by treating us after work at Khaleel last night.

Surprisingly, it was very busy at SMC last night. I don't know why so many people would suddenly eat buffet.
