i'm going to have a wisdom tooth!!

Econs Paper 1 is over. Tomorrow, MATHS Paper 1. Hope they give direct questions. :D

(Note to self: Stop dreaming about getting easy papers for TRIALS. That will never happen!)

The back gum on my left jaw is swelling and hurting so badly. Wisdom tooth? Wish I could gain more wisdom from the tooth. But it's not even visible and I can't feel it with my tongue. I didn't know it's so hard for the tooth to come out. Just have to bear with the pain until it finally emerges.

Update on Nani's and Nano's memorial spot.

Before those beautiful little flowers were planted in.

After mom pouring all her blood and sweat in planting the beautiful yellow, pink and orange flowers. And some green, green leaves?

Mom decorated the memorial and turned it into a paradise from a grave pile of dirt. I hope all the other terrapins are doing fine so I do not have to write another obituary. It's painful to write even if I do not know the terrapins.

My gum is still aching. Wisdom tooth, give me all the wisdom that you've got!

five more days..

One day down. Five more days to go. Come fast, 13th of September! I just can't wait to take a short break before October reaches me.

I have registered at Olympia College today for the Hotel Management course commencing next April . Some funny events happened there. Won't be elaborating further. Too lazy to type. Hehe.

P/S: Today's paper was like Hagrid's rock cakes. HARD to swallow, really!

stpm 2007 time table..

Just came back from taking a stroll at the night market. Bought some junks and sweets. Today does not seem to be like Independence Day but more of a normal day for me.

General Paper is on Monday. So much facts yet so little time. I can't wait till 29 November 2007 to come! After that, I can have a good rest from all those killer papers.

Here's the STPM exam time table for this year. Had trouble downloading it so click on the site. =)

golden anniversary of malaysia..

Another eleven minutes, the skies in every single state of Malaysia will be decorated and at the same time polluted with fireworks. This is the only time when air pollution is allowed!

I love tomorrow so, so much. Everybody knows why. It's one of the days I enjoy being a Malaysian. =)

50 years is actually a long time. I don't know whether I would be able to be a 50-year-old, wrinkled woman in future. It's an achievement to be 50! So, what more can I say...

HAPPY GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY, MALAYSIA!

crystle the poser..

Crystle is the potential contestant for Malaysia's Next Top Dog Model. Below are the photographs from her portfolio.

Had fun dressing Crystle with a piece of cloth and a curtain strip last Friday. Notice how the strip was tied into a bow. I can even give her away as a gift during Christmas!

And this was the result of the 'photoshoot':

'Hey, I thought I am supposed to be Little Red Riding Hood?? How come my hood is BLUE?'

'Oh, can't complain much. I have to be the wolf so I can't wear the red hood.'

'Faster give me my food for being a good poser!'

'Phew! The awful costume is finally off!'

'What? Want another shot of me? This will be the last one. No more, okay?'

'Oi! Don't try to cheat me! One photo does not mean four shots in one frame!'

'I love sitting in the car! Okay, you can snap me since I am so happy!!'

That's about it. We took her to the vet yesterday and had her vaccinated. The funniest part was when the vet inserted the thermometer into her butt. She jerked so much she nearly fell off the table. Funny dog, she is.

save our rhinos..

Extra class for BM is on tomorrow at 9.30 a.m.. Feeling lazy when exam is just two weeks away. I am kind of worried though. Everything seems so unimportant.

I need a lot of sleep. Sleeping off my problems seems to be the only way to get me away from them (that is if they do not start appearing in my dreams and turn diabetic-inducing dreams into nightmares).

On another note, I am supporting Honda's Campaign in Protecting the Almost-Extinct-Sumatran Rhinos.

So, if you are a great animal lover, do not hesitate to put the Rhino logo on your blog as proof of support towards the campaign.

crystle's first bath..

Crystle had her first bath yesterday! Look how wet she is!

'Oh, I can't believe I let them do this to me! Now I look so UGLY...'

'I am going to eat your hand. Yummy, delicious looking fingers. It's paw licking good!'

Crystle's in delusion after her bath. Maybe we accidently soaked her brain and her nerves gone haywire!

Anyway, she still looks fabulous, doesn't she? Her fur needs trimming though. What style should I give her? Skin head? Punk style? Or maybe Botak Chin style?

the greatest place for your delicious meals..

This happened two days ago. The restaurant was so 'fantastic' and it blew me away.

So, there is a new place in Jusco. Formerly it was Wooden House and now it's Food and Tea Restaurant. So inartistic for a classy restaurant, right? My dad was planning to try out a new place since we were late and so, there we went. We could not complain more after what we, I in particular, experienced.

The sesame-filled glutinous ball with gingerly-weird soup.

It tasted like the one which pregnant ladies drink.

Red beans dessert

So thick like glue. I think if I need glue, I can use this. Beautiful coloured glue.

French toast, half-eaten.

My sister ordered this and it was surprisingly quite delicious since the rest of the food looked like they came from Mars and Jupiter.

The environment inside the restaurant

Now I truly understands what it means by the proverb, 'Do not judge a book by its cover'. It may look authentic, but the service and food and pricing said otherwise.

Don't know what Shanghai shredded noodles

Okay, the story started like this. We went into the restaurant at 9pm and my dad ordered pork chop rice and my sister ordered French toast. I ordered the simplest food: kaya toast. I thought I would be the one to get my order first. After all, toast is not so difficult to make right??

The orders came without my meager kaya toast.

Okay, never mind. I waited longer.

.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Finally it was 9.30 pm.

WHERE IS MY TOAST?? I was getting hungrier and my dad and sis were now two bloated creatures. At that point of time, a waitress asked us whether we have any second orders since they were about to close.

To which, my dad gave a clever reply: 'First order also hasn't arrive. How to have second order?' Good one. Then she hurried away saying she will rush my order. Another waiter approached us asking us the same question. I suspected they have the same script to talk to customers. Again, my dad repeated his answer. He hurried away too giving the same assurance to rush the order in the kitchen.

I was at my boiling point when one man in suit came over and told me something unbelievable and almost impossible.

He spoke in Cantonese saying, 'I'm sorry. We have got your toast ready but we dare not serve it to you since we have some problem with it.'

What problem?? Their kaya turned rotten? Or they ate my order??

They can actually tell me the truth! I can accept if they say they buy expired kaya for their customers. I wondered what they had been doing in the kitchen with my toast since they did not even have the courage to tell me that I could not have the toast. Were the cooks standing around the toast shivering and didn't know what to do? And made me wasted half an hour of my life waiting for it?

So in the end, the man in suit asked me to ordered something else. I deliberately mentioned something like, 'I think I want McD porridge.'

I seriously wanted him to hear that. And I think he did because he looked rather uncomfortable after that.

I ordered the Shanghai shredded noodles which has mediocre taste. The dessert I ordered was not thirst-quenching so I drank the soup of the noodles which was undoubtedly full of preservatives.

The banner of the restaurant located by the escalator

I got so angry that I snapped this photo to warn the public about not going in there. I am sure the food court is a better option for meals.

The full banner

Yeah, even I am on the verge of dying from starvation, I will not come here. I would have died with my eyes opened sooner waiting for my kaya toast.

My rating of this fantastic restaurant? 0.5/5.

P/S: I give 0.5 for the layout of the restaurant. Not because I love it very much. Oh, all of you who would like to know what it's really like can go there. You might be lucky enough not to have to wait for your food, but the mystery of the kaya toast remains unsolved.

WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED TO MY KAYA TOAST?

I will never find out.

crystle..

It was by fate that we found her. Never would we expect to take her home as we were strolling at IKEA. See how skinny she is?

Crystle

She had been the company of an elderly lady. Then she was sent to the Dog Pound where she was supposedly be dead by now. The story that I heard from Shu Ying, the girl who saved her out of the horrible place, was full of cruelty. All those memories that she had must have been painful. No doubt, she endured her sufferings and she had no one to turn to. That shakes her personality a bit from being a bubbly, fun-loving dog, to a shy and more passive character.

The previous owner dumped her into the Dog Pound where she was starved before supposedly being put to sleep after seven days.

It is really sad to know there is such a place. Whoever works there must not be a dog lover. I have a mission to accomplish:

I AM GOING TO FEED HER TILL SHE GO FAT!!

who stole my very dim limelight??

Meet my drop-dead gorgeous friend, duyun.

*I know I am pretty so stop staring at me!!*

*Does this expression make me look cuter?*

*I think this is the best. I can see all of you out there nodding your head, agreeing with me. LOL....*

Okay, Pui Yun. Stop stealing the limelight from me. You better reward me something for being so terribly kind. This is the only time I will put up pictures of you other than myself. I never edited your photos because I don't need to. *duyun's cheeks are flushing red at this point, I hope*

So anyone wants to know her better? Take her to be only your acquaintance as she is TAKEN. Hehe. :P

dumplings, anyone??

Dumplings from The Land of Hornbills. They look so tempting yet you should never judge a book by its cover.

Wrapped in sengkuang leaves and bamboo leaves. See the green-coloured leaves? They are actually bamboo leaves.

The treasure within

I love dumplings but not Sarawak's. Too used to the food from the western side of Malaysia. Anyone who wishes to try these made-in-Sarawak dumplings just call me.

No, I don't make dumplings. I can help you to book your flight ticket to Sarawak. That's the best I can do. =)

rest in peace, nani..

Nani returned home to the Lord yesterday. Mom made a coffin for her. The time of demise is unknown.

Her little coffin made out of Alcina box

After burial. Some flowers on her grave

She lived in a Christian home therefore a cross ought to be there

In memory of Nani
Departed on 14 July 2007
Leaving behind those who will miss her dearly:
Yvonne and seven others of her friends + two strangers,
Mork, N, Mindy, Nano, Nana, Dada and Didi + Light and Missa

A brief report of Nani's health condition before she left. She had been suffering from fungus disease for many days. She did not consume any food for 16 days and various ways had been tried to heal her but to no avail. May she rest in peace.

happy birthday, dad!!

Happy birthday, dad! We went to Pizza Hut to celebrate. Quite a day out of luck, in my opinion.

We went to the Pizza Hut at Ipoh Garden first. As we could not find a parking lot, dad decided to go to the one at Giant. We reached there and there were ample parking lots. We walked hopefully towards Pizza Hut and guess what the waitress said?

It seemed that their ovens were spoiled and they were not cooking! I mean if they are not planning to receive any customers why don't they just shut their doors? It's funny to think how people do things these days. So, in the end, we went to Tesco Pizza Hut. We were beginning to feel doubtful. I jokingly told my sister, "Maybe all the branches are having trouble with their ovens." However, much to our relief, we managed to order our pizza from there.

Here it is! Forgot what the name was. Very, very cheesy but I loved it!

Drinking Pepsi while waiting for the order to arrive. I was so hungry then.

my virtual home..

Who says Friday the 13th is a day of bad lucks? I earned myself a house today!

My mom has just built a house on Island Villa especially dedicated to me. So happy although it's only a virtual house.

The overall view. Can you see the clear swimming pool behind? Just can't resist the temptation to jump in although it's fake.

The interior. With all the basic stuffs a home has.

Zoomed in.

The side view of the house. There's a chimney! Winter is soon to come.

Mom's ultimate game. The Sims 2! She is a great Simlish architect. The creator of the game ought to hire her to design some custom-made houses. =)

midin vege..

Two days ago, this is what my mom cooked. A kind of vegetable which I have never tasted. Midin is its name.

Before - "We are going to die! NOOOO....!"

After - "Dead already. (+.+)"

She said it tasted just like paku-pakis. Without spores I guess. =)

just some dumb post..

Bought HP5 tickets for the 11th July night show just now. RM10 per ticket! Just because it's the first day of screening. If I had known earlier, I would have asked dad to buy it next week. It's not really important to be the first to watch anyway. It's too late to regret now since the tickets are bought. I hope it's not a disappointing movie since the tickets are so, so dear.

Yoda is not so afraid of us anymore, I think. When I took him out just now, he explored about on the floor. Then he peed on the newspaper when I put him back into the container with his all-time favourite kangkung. I guess he has not gotten off all of his fear. I am sure he will someday.

Fitria, the maid returned home this afternoon. She's a nice lady who loves reading. It's good to have another friend. She helped me did the laundry and the clothes that she folded were neatly arranged. This is something that I cannot do perfectly. Maybe she is trained well to do chores. I got to learn this skill! A new knowledge that I need to master. Jealousy strikes me when she could fold clothes better than me. =P

chopsticks or curlsticks?

Reached home at 11 p.m. just now. With the smell of smoke as perfume, I wanted a bath so desperately. And a drink of course! 100+ came to the rescue. How refreshing! =D

When I took the chopstick out from my hair, I was so glad to see the natural curls. Speaking of saving cost on perming it in saloons. Haha! I know how to perm my hair for future functions now. The day before the function, I would twist my hair into a bun the whole day. Oh, I think I would feel like a geisha doing that. LOL!!

This post is up to instill new knowledge to those who loves curls but are reluctant to part with their money. Try it. So many good points in using a chopstick to keep your hair twisted the whole day and get natural curls at the end of the day.

  • Firstly, you will never spoil your hair
  • Manageable hair all day long
  • Chopsticks are easily obtained
  • Chopsticks do not lose its elastic strength unlike rubber band
You see now why chopsticks are good? Do not be so rigid as to think that chopsticks are only used by Chinese during meal times. Their status has been elevated to being hair accessories too!

Another dumb post will be up soon.

sunshine fan package!!

A few months ago, I participated in the Reignite The Sun contest and I am the winner of the Sunshine Fan Package! Here is what I got. No phone though. Hehe..

Sunshine keychain. Turn it over and you can see the sun!

Sunshine playing cards. Now I am beginning to wonder how I am supposed to play with these ROUND cards.

Sunshine window stickers! Might be sticking them on the mirror. Maybe not. I'll just keep them. :)

Sunshine retractable stereo earphones! Cool!

Sunshine Digital Clock. I have a new alarm clock now. There's no need to use the phone again.

Sunshine mini digital photo frame. This is the coolest thing! I can load all my favourite photos in it!

Sunshine hover pen. Something is floating in the holder. Swaying all the way.

When the pen is no longer floating.

There are seven items all together. I hope I win something from Die Hard 4.0 contest too!!
