Fruitful weekend at Sunway Pyramid

The trip to KL was a relaxing one. Isn't it strange that I feel relaxed to be in that busy city? Sometimes, I feel the busiest town is Ipoh because this is where I have much work to do. Wherever you come from, there your responsibilities shall be. Anyone agree with me on that? Snapped some photos at Sunway Pyramid as I was enjoying myself. Got myself another reptile from there too. Thank you, mommy dearie! I will make sure L stays alive for many years to come. =D

Wanna see L? He will be revealed at the end of the entry. Be patient and read all the way through.

The previous trip to Sunway Pyramid wasn't as fruitful as this time. The complex has changed quite a bit but I don't know what. One of the new addition that I have not seen before is this.

When was this set up? Indoor Ferris Wheel just like in Genting.

We went to a pet shop where I got fascinated by a flying squirrel (Sugar gliders) hanging upside down and some cute hamsters fighting with one another to get onto the wheel. How interesting! They are so cute!

They say two is company and three is a CROWD! Very true in this case.

And not to forget some bunnies too!

Hmm, I must look pweety in front of camewa... *groom groom groom first*

Very emo bunny. Looked at me as if it wanted to eat me up. Cute nevertheless.

A random sports car spotted. Forgive me for being shallow in race car business. :P

As we strolled further, we bought more things and our stomachs finally begin to rumble. Not until we noticed a banner which says RM1 chicken in front of Canton-i restaurant. It sounded impossibly cheap!!!!

So in we went.

The RM1 chicken dish! Yummy.

Grilled brinjal

Baby long beans with minced pork. Love the way they marinated it till so tasty!

End of Canton-i. The bill came out to be more than RM1. There's a catch after all. We ordered more than we should because one chicken is simply not enough. Hehe....

Got a new purse for Christmas! Not sure whether it's post or pre-Christmas but I think it is a pre! Mom has given me a lot for the last Christmas. The buttons are so adorable. Milk Teddy has the best designs!

Now it's time for the main character to make his appearance for the very first time in this blog. Enemy of Light and Missa, L!

At the hotel, fearing the cold.

Back to home sweet home.

Bought a Black L to accompany him to accomplish great things together!

END OF POST.

SO TIRED I CAN SLEEP ON THE KEYBOARD NOW.

HAVEN'T EVEN STARTED REVISING. DEAD.

ZZZZZ..........ZZzzz......zzzzzzz

Pool Day

I have finally gone back to befriend the pool after so long. The water is so green it freaks me a little. That's what you get from public pools. I don't know why I feel sleepy each time after a swim. I think the chlorine has something to do with it. Maybe it acts like a sleeping pill for occasional insomniac like me. Will go swim more often whenever I cannot sleep from now on. I guess the effect is already manifesting as I accidentally scratched my nails against the pool tile (for the safety of the public, please CEMENT the gaps of the tiles!) twice. I must have been feeling sleepy by then.

Gonna have a short weekend in KL on coming Sunday!

It's definitely a retreat before I start war with the boring subjects. =D

She-Wolf

Still waiting for the rain, yet it's still not here. I'm glad I don't have to go to college these days and suffer heat stroke from wearing the thick blazer. I'm bracing myself for next semester in preparation for more heat. Feel like thinning my blazer if there is a way to do that.

I have selected a new serial drama to watch. The story revolves around a girl named Lyka who was born with a curse that transforms her into a wolf at every full moon starting from the age of 21. She fell in love with her childhood friend who does not know about her nature and how would he react when he finds out? Stay tuned on TV3 on every Monday to Thursday from 3-4pm. The episodes that is currently being aired are just up to 25. It's still not too late to watch for those who are interested.

The title captured my interest a few days ago and I went seeking for the videos on Youtube. Too bad the uploader only has 7 English subbed episodes. The rest of it are only synopsis of every episode which I have to get from this site: Lobo (which means 'wolf' in Tagalog)

Here's a little bit about the drama (pictures and texts) entirely lifted from the same website.

Lyka (Ulay) and Noah (Jay-Jay)

Two lovers who find in each other their greatest source of joy and their deepest source of despair.

They form a bond as children only to lose each other as they grow up. They meet again as strangers, finding an unexpected connection in a world filled with uncertainty. They fall in love, eventually discovering they were the same children who sought and found comfort in each other in the past.

Now they will find their love tested beyond compare when the truth of their destinies are revealed. This is a tale of ill-fated lovers who will go against all odds to be together, defying and challenging the very Fates that conspire to tear them apart.

The story reflects the truth about the very nature of love. That is beautiful, mysterious, life altering, healing and humbling. We all kneel in the face of love, it is the only true power we have to change our world. That in the end, love chooses to surrender than to fight and that is what makes it the ultimate victor in any battle. It should say something about the courage it takes to truly love someone and to go on that journey together.

LYKA RAYMUNDO (Angel Locsin)

She is strongly motivated by her dreams to become a famous fashion designer. But for now, she enjoys her job as a fashion assistant in the "House of Elle". However, her zest for life will be dimmed by the harsh truth of her real nature. On the brighter side, she will capture the elusive heart of Noah. Is her love stronger than the decree of fate?

NOAH ORTEGA (Piolo Pascual)

Working as a Second Lieutenant in the Philippine Army, Noah is known for his intelligence, skills and speed in combat. Behind his quiet and mysterious look lies a man who is capable of loving deeply. Will he defy everything he believes in for the sake of love?

I hope this drama will not be disappointing because long running series seem to bore me when they get too draggy. I want the storyline to progress fast.

Feel like starting a new cross-stitch project after resting my fingers from needles and threads for more than a year. What picture should I stitch this time? Will be off to the shop tomorrow to see what interests me.

New stuff

A few days ago, there's a renovation going on next door. The tiling work was carried out in a jiffy and in three days, it's done! I have never seen tiling done at the speed of lightning.

Spread the cement all over and arrange the tiles on the floor just like collage. The angle of the picture was pretty bad because I didn't want them to know I was snapping their work.

Neighbour has got something new to dress their floor so I must have something new to dress my dresses!

*DRUM ROLL*

TADAA! A brand new wardrobe as a new addition to my family of furniture in my room! My outdoor clothes have a new house and they don't have to share with my pajamas and other house clothings. Finally!

Oh and did I mention it's my first wardrobe with sliding door? I've always dreamt of having one and now my dream is materialised.

Slid open. Currently still in the process of arranging the fabrics in. The first item that I put in the wardrobe is the blazer. I usually hang it outside the old wardrobe and it has been homeless for almost three years now. Welcome to your new home!

Just now while I was looking outside to admire the neighbour's new tiles (actually more of looking at the scenery), I saw a cute little girl training herself to wash a car. Check it out.

This week is my final week for relaxation before the cramming season starts. Brain, rest while you can, yea?

Miss Swan

Emily has introduced me to a Mad TV character, Miss Swan. I have previously watched a video about a lady placing her order at McRonald's and how she made the employee got frustrated with her. I thought her funny and it was only on Thursday that I realised that the lady was actually Miss Swan! Thought I didn't know who Miss Swan was but I did. She is more hilarious than Mr. Bean because she is more outspoken and her stupid answers to questions never fail to amuse me. Go google her up for those who don't know who she is and if you think she is not a bit funny, just close the browser and go on with your serious life. Everyone needs a moment of laughter especially living in this stress-filled society, don't you think so?

Here's one of her videos that I like:

Watching AF concert now. Oh, I can't believe it's the fourth concert. Ain's performance just ended and I think she did well. I wonder how many seasons more of AF to come? So many of them have graduated from the academy and I can hardly remember who they are now, except the students of the first and second season.

Going to Chenderiang for a short trip tomorrow.

Lovely Friday ♥

I have always loved Fridays. You know why? That's because I get time to feel laid back and do the things that I want to do such as taking afternoon naps. I know it's a bad habit but naps are fun to take! Lazy me, huh?

Went for a haircut (more of a hair trim, actually) in the morning before heading off to Jusco for a brief stroll. Before entering the hairdresser's, I was contemplating whether to cut my hair short or not. Then when I was asked what I want to do with my hair, I straight away answered, "TRIM!". I guess I haven't gotten tired of having long hair yet. Not yet. Even if the weather is crazily warm-till-I-can-die state, I still want my LONG HAIR! =D

I didn't know there are tiny albums until I saw a few today at Fotokem in Jusco. I have heard of digital photo frame but this is my first time seeing those cute little booklets which can accommodate up to 20 pictures. Someday, I might consider making a portfolio of my own with it and bring the little album with me wherever I go. That will have to wait till after I have gone for a studio photoshoot first. Maybe ONE DAY. Just maybe.

I am glad that the visit to the ice-cream factory has been postponed to another day. Never been to one and I really want to see how ice-cream is made.

Another sunset is over. End Of The Year, I am inching towards you.

A makeover

After a few months of using the pink butterfly template, I have decided to change to another one because the pink has somehow become more glaring and pain my eyes when I look at it. What do you think of this new layout? I like it. Do you?

It's the 9th day of April. Another day closer to my training period and then graduation. =D

Hail, 'Oh-Your-Majesty'!

It feels so good to be informal the entire day. No wonder the juniors always leave their uniforms to guard the house and come to college almost daily in their casuals. They are really brilliant. Seriously! Even the administration admires their intelligence and decides NOT to reprimand them for dressing inappropriately for classes. Especially the foreign students, they get absolute priority and special treatment from the 'Oh-Your-Majesty'. Sad to say, the same cannot be said for me and my fellow comrades. We are being shunned aside like the dirt on the roadside, so insignificant that we thought we are not being noticed at all. But we are so wrong. They noticed us all right.

One day of breaking rule results us into getting an RM1 fine per person but since we stick to our firm principle and will only pay up when the juniors do, we are not going to donate even a single cent for the time being. Don't tell me you don't earn enough from so many victims that you have ensnared into your trap. I know your tricks. Look at the new students that you have enrolled this year. Most of them don't have the commitment to follow the rules and even going overboard by being absent whenever the club is organising any activities. That is the kind of students that you have.

I am becoming happier each day as I enter class because each passing day pushes me closer to the moment I bid eternal farewell to my dear college.

If you cannot take constructive comments to improve on the inferior management style you have so cleverly designed, I am so sorry to say that the title that you get end of last year does not mean anything at all. A plate does not determine success when what is being displayed is so far off the mark than what is actually being done inside the building.

Thank God for patience.

I want to talk about the weather but my mind wanders off to something else I hate.

The weather is crazily warm today. I think the sun has gone angry that it has decided to scorch everyone alive. Fortunately, I am still alive to blog out this entry. Let's talk about the weather for today as I have nothing to talk about. Blogging about college-related stuffs is boring and I don't want to bore my friends who have made an effort to pay a visit to this blog. See how kind I am.

I love the cold, although I don't get that in Malaysia often. Maybe once in a blue moon, the sun will take a rest and let the rain take over. That's the best time for me. I just love the rain and the wind it brings along. Thank God there's no hurricane here. I don't want my house roof to be blown away! Let's pray that the weather will get better tomorrow.

I have promised not to touch on any college-related stuffs but I am going to break my promise now. Just this once. Well, not actually breaking it since what I am about to say is to tell you that I am going to break a college rule tomorrow (just touching on the surface of the subject).

I AM NOT GOING TO WEAR UNIFORM! GOODBYE TO MY BLAZER, SKIRT AND STOCKINGS! I WILL SEE YOU THE NEXT SEMESTER!

Can't believe that I am beginning to like the idea of breaking rules. If the administration is not enforcing it on the juniors, why should we adhere to it? We don't get any special awards for being such 'goody goody students'. Wearing uniform makes us more vulnerable to more service work at college. Sorry, I am retiring right now. I shall reserve the energy for service during my six-month training next year. Heh!

(Okay, I have gone overboard. Too much talk on college already! Should stop now!)

Class is from 10am to 6pm tomorrow. Such a long day. Can't wait to get home and have a nice warm bath after class then off to dreamland. How I wish I could do that...

(College talk ends here. Just pretend you didn't read the college stuffs and keep the impression that I am still keeping my promise.)

Dream on, just dream on. I shall do it now since I am going off to bed right now. My neck is burning because of the heat. Mr. Ray is not resting even after sunset. Go to bed like me and come back only to work tomorrow morning at sunrise!

Good night.

P.S. Please rain tomorrow. I need the rain to keep me sane.

Easter 2010

Happy Easter everyone! I know it's already at night but it's yet to be 12am so technically now is still Easter.

Had a joyous celebration in church this morning and I was really excited to once again celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. If not for Him, we would have all gone down to hell for eternity. He is our Saviour and I am proud to be His child. Now, everyone say AMEN! (This reminds me of today's 'No Amen, No Food!'. Really funny!)

Two more weeks to exam and still unprepared. I'm getting used to this bad habit. Too late for a change. Sorry, brain. You have to undergo cramming during exam week. That's because I love the way you work during cramming. Absorbing all info in desperation to know everything I should before the papers.

Another lazy entry shall end here. Bye!

First quarter of the year, GONE FOREVER!

I had Facebook for my first class just now. Imagine attending a class with no notes taken. Just me and laptop. The lecturer was too kind. Can you just believe it? The next class will be almost the same as I will only be doing online exercises. This moment is a bliss after a period of stressful period.

Will be watching Alice in Wonderland for the second time tomorrow! Can't wait. Tonight will be another good lesson on Christian values. I'll be enriched further.

I think this post will most probably be a joke to most people. I doubt anyone would believe it. It is TRUE. Believe it or not, it's up to you.

Happy Fool's Day! =D

The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat - Virtual Tour

Visited The Banjaran today and I now understand why it is such an expensive choice for a retreat. The criteria of guests that are eligible to reserve a villa and enjoy its facilities are:

1) To be of age 16 and above
2) Must be filthy rich (just kidding). As long as you can afford it, you are eligible!

Being the first retreat to have a closer call to nature as well as enhancing the wellness of every being who resides within, The Banjaran is definitely a place which should not be missed by people who want experience nature more personally.

Let me take you on a virtual tour to the Retreat. This chance only come by once and unless you marry some millionaire who can afford to provide you with such luxury, you must keep on reading!!

Greeneries

I absolutely love the signs

This is the steps leading into the Meditation Cave. Could not snap so many pictures in the cave as I am having Corby Camera which does not have flash.

9pm! I wonder who will go there in the dark? Scary...

One and only photo of the interior of the Meditation Cave.

Huge leaves!!

The special pathway to Lost World only for Banjaran guests

Reflexology, anyone? Too bad they were cleaning the pond at that time and the fishes are kept away. I want to see some doctor fishes!

We actually have to cross the rocks to get across. Reminds me so much about the scene when Alice stepped on the human skulls to get across to the Red Queen's castle.

Dipping pool for tired feet.

The temperature of the thermal water for the day is recorded each day.

The best part of Banjaran is of course the spa and wellness centre. Everyone loves some pampering during a holiday!

The entrance. I was really excited to go in and have a look. We were told that only guests of age 21 and above can enjoy the treatments provided. I forgot the reason why.

The person in charge of the spa. The way she talked reminded me of Kristy, the trainer of the Biggest Loser Asia. Such strong Australian accent. =)

The Hydro Therapy Room. It feels oddly like a time machine to me. My brain thinks of funny things seeing new stuffs.

Colonic Hydro Therapy Room. The butler said it is used for cleaning the stomach. How? Too bad there wasn't time for a demo.

Ayurvedic Villa

TCM Villa. Can anyone guess what TCM stands for?

An area where guests rest after their therapy. Each guest can only choose one type of therapy per session. Imagine if they were to go through every kind of treatment, I wonder if their body is strong enough to endure all of it.

So therapeutic! I feel like staying here for a long time!

Water Villas. Flash flood has hit the villas! The 'flood' is hotspring water though it looks murky.

A mini waterfall

Another part of the villa that I like. Plunge pool for every villa. There are 25 villas in total so there are 25 of them, with a slight vary in size.

Entrance to haven! The Garden Villa

The Banjaran is so eco-friendly that every decoration in the resort is made from recycled items. As for this tissue box, if you look carefully, you can see some alphabets on it. Those are printings from magazines and newspapers!

The aroma of palm leaves is in the air! Every roof of the retreat is made entirely from palm leaves.

The open closet in the restroom of the villa

Jacuzzi with three types of waters to choose from the 3 taps: Thermal, geothermal or ordinary cold water. I still can't tell the difference between thermal and geothermal. Too lazy to search, so google it yourselves. Hehe.

Rainshower!

The 7' by 7' king-sized bed with fluffy feathered pillows.

Vanity counter. There are two counters provided in each restroom of the villas. The women's counter will always have an extra table mirror for vain girls!

The view from Water Villa

Living up to its name, this cave can really make you perspire. Steaming you like a cha siu pao that are sold in dim sum restaurants. We went in and started sweating almost instantly. Wearing a blazer accelerates the perspiration process. The moment we came out and meet with the glaring sun once again, it felt like the outdoor had been air-conditioned. That was how warm the cave was.

Can you see the glittering stones beneath the sign?

I only see this in crystal shops! Now I finally saw it in the Crystal Cave.

The most beautiful part of The Banjaran is the crystal stars on the ceiling of the Crystal Cave.

Lining the walls of the cave. Beautiful!

Too gorgeous!

Stalagmite?

After the two hours tour around the retreat, we were served a refreshing drink at the reception. Didn't expect them to give us anything at all.

Thirst-quenching drink with unidentified mixed herbs inside. Delicious!

The limo of Banjaran

Time for farewell. When will be the next time we meet again? Ju Dee's wedding, perhaps? :-P

Exam will be in less than a month! Can't wait for the semester to be over.

I ♥ Penang!!

This semester is going to end pretty soon. Just one more week of lectures and I am off to take my sweet, sweet break. Exam will pass in a breeze (not to say that I can 100% pass all the papers but I know life wouldn't feel that tough to revise) and more time for rest.

The good news is, I will be heading off to Penang tomorrow for some fun! Someone very important is coming back and oh, how I miss you! Muaxie muax! I am very happy right now for a reason I am not sure of. Maybe it's the thought of Penang. I think I will not regret doing my training in the Pearl of the Orient since I love that place so, so much! Rasa Sayang, here I come.

I need to do something right now but I can't remember.

Oh ya, time to hang dry the blanket. I forgot.

Sushi sushi

Sushi for lunch, anyone? Pretty good choice if you don't feel like eating much.

I love the plate. I would rather choose to order from Donburi than Sushi King. It's cheaper too! This plate cost only RM7.

Anticipating Saturday! Too happy to say anything more. Hehe...

First time in Jusco after so long

Finally got to meet up with Jo after two times of postponing our plan to watch movie together. Let's meet again before you leave for UK.

Alice in Wonderland is one movie that makes me want to watch it for the second time. Mom, quickly watch with me and remember to pay attention to Um. Haha! You will know what/who Um is when you watch the movie. Johnny Depp has got his usual unusual character like most of his films directed by Tim Burton as The Mad Hatter. He played the part real well. I can almost imagined him playing out this role even before watching Alice in Wonderland. Oh, and another two outstanding characters that remind me of Humpty Dumpty are Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Mom said I am in love with them. Yes, I am. Haha. See how funny they are fighting all the time even in front of the queen. That is what makes them amusing!

Ate Nissin Noodle for lunch. It's my all-time favourite. Thank you for the wonderful lunch, Joanna. Today's outing was much fun!

The AF season is back! Looking forward to their first concert although I don't know who they are. Last week, I watched the Tirai and Ain performed well in my opinion but she got mixed remarks. Sometimes I think the judges are not 100% correct. What is bad for their ears might be good and pleasant for the ears of another. No wonder singing is a form of art. It is subjective. Just like how I think Demi Lovato doesn't have a good singing technique and all her fans think she is perfect. I guess no one is a bad judge.

It's late and I should sleep now.

Take a break

The darkest period of my life is about to be over. I am so glad.

Will be watching Alice in Wonderland with Joanna this Friday and I can't wait. Hope that our date will work out this time. Haha!

Feeling stressed out for so long and now it's time to take a good rest before finals.

I love the 'TAKE A BREAK MESSAGE' you sent me, mom. It did energized me by a little. It's the little things that lift me up. Thank you. :-D

Tuesday blues

The weather is still as warm. I am going to get heat stroke soon. Can't wait to watch the 2-hour finale of The Biggest Loser Asia. How will David, Carlo, Aaron and Martha look like? I wonder if they could resist the food temptations back in their hometown. Let's wait and see.

All individual assignments have been completed except for the table of contents and the cover pages are not filled up. It's now time to kill the group ones. Life's tough. Gotta go to college at noon for some meeting and I need time to breathe. Mr. Harry is giving us a test today and we are supposed to show our points for Marketing assignment too. The grammar in the assignment question is so broken that I can hardly understand what I am supposed to find. One key point to people who set questions: Go and learn up proper grammar before attempting to set questions. Not everyone can understand your questions if your grammar is poor.

I'll stop ranting for now and leave some for another day.

Reality-stricken after a breakthrough

Back from an encounter with God (25th-28th Feb) and I have known Him even more. The three days in Bandar Utama had given me a lot of fruitful experiences which I will not have the chance to gain from anywhere. Albeit tired, I pulled through all the sessions with God's strength. Suffice to say, I am fully rejuvenated and have the passion in most things that I need to do right now. All thanks and praises go up to the Lord! Amen!!

The thing I hate about coming back to reality is that I have to face the problems that I don't have to during Encounter. Well, I should not be complaining. There are many people out there who want to be in my place instead of theirs (although I do not know who but I am convinced I am being envied somewhere in the whole wide world). Be grateful. Okay, I will try. :-)

Two assignments down and now I'm 'frying' my final 'recipe' for Hospitality Operations Management assignment. Hope it will end up DELICIOUS!

Treasure Madness is giving me super HUGE temptation. Why release the new maps now? Sigh. You got me digging up for treasures when I am supposed to kill those word counts.

P.S. Just want to say, I love you, mom. I think I haven't said that in a while. Muah!
