Last day in Ipoh

Some pictures from Ipoh. Chee Foo took us to a new Japanese place called Mokuren after church service on Sunday.

Later, I treat my sis at Brownies for Haagan Daaz ice-creams and brownies! Thank you Foo Suk for recommending this place. :)

The menu. ♥ the bear!!

Rum rainsin and Belgian chocolate flavoured ice-cream with brownies at the bottom. Super delicious!

Some pictures of the Elles! I can't wait to come back next month to meet with you two again!

Elly feeling drowsy

Elsa with her perks

This is so adorable!

Her growing teeth.

First day in front office was really relaxing. What a contrast from the hustle-bustle in SMC. :)

The Elles grown up (by a bit)!!

Home sweet home once again! I enjoy coming back from Penang. It's a joy to be back!

Some eye candies for you. The Elles are bigger now!

On the way to the vet for their final heartworm vaccination.

Looks like pig.

Lazing around in the afternoon.

Can you try guessing which Elle this is?

The weather in Ipoh is killing me. Oh, and Happy Mothers' Day to all!!! :) :) :)

Diabetic-induced

I am too lazy so just crapped out a post to entertain myself and my silent readers.

Just enjoy it.

The day before yesterday, I went to Pinang Emas again for dinner and we had jolly great fun. Just a simple meal can make me so happy.

See, Cecilia is two-faced! Literally. Panoramic shot failed!

Notice how Alfred had a sun-like glow above his head like some angel.

Friends, they are your gem when you have no money to buy from Tiffany's. :) They are priceless.

Yesterday, I saw many kitties at SMC and they were all very complacently sleeping on the chairs. Here's one being very shameless and too lazy to move that I managed to snap its picture.

It was a lazy afternoon for Kitty. Still, it distanced itself away from me whenever I tried to touch it.

It's a pity my hand was a little shaky while taking this picture. Couldn't snap another one as Kitty ran away.

Shortly after that, some Japanese tourists saw the cats and started snapping away like they were exhibits in the zoo. And I felt like a zookeeper.

This rainforest tree is said to be 100 over years old. Since I will be leaving SMC soon, I reckon it's right for me to snap some pictures as mementos.

The outdoor section of Spice Market Cafe. I hate working here because I sweat while working. Super uncomfortable. But I enjoy the experience. :) So ironic, huh?

The following section consists of food. Make sure your bellies are filled before consuming the photos with your eyes.

Chocolate fondue! Been dying to try this for ages but yet to have the chance. Soon, one day, I will try!

An assortment of dessert for the International Buffet night. Sugar overdose! I feel diabetic looking at the pictures.

Ingredients for ice kacang. The Malaysians' favourite during hot weather.

Been tortured in SMC looking at the food every day but not getting to taste them so I am taking revenge by posting about the pictures so you get tortured too! Forgive me for being EVIL!! Hahahaha!!!

I had a simple lunch for today.

A bowl of Cintan Noodles Laksa Flavoured with An Egg.

Then I got tempted by the food from the International Buffet again but I got rewarded.

A sinful cake for me to enjoy. On top of that, I had coffee creme brulee too. I need more insulin looking at the picture now.

I ate the whole thing by myself. Good thing there is no weighing machine here or I will be worried sick having to think of ways to lose weight. What I don't know won't hurt me (I think).

Too much of sweets can be harmful. I better drink more water to dilute the sugar level in my body. Does water help? Hope it does. :P

Post Labour Day

Happy Belated Labour Day, everyone! Was too busy labouring at work yesterday so didn't manage to blog. SMC was crazily busy!!! Everyone was having a great time enjoying their long weekend but the hoteliers suffer! Hahaha! Anyway, in the midst of hard work, we did enjoyed serving the people from all walks of life.

Let's take a look at last night's dinner. Went to Gurney Drive with Alfred and I realised we came on the wrong day! Was thinking of having char koay teow but every stall had a beeline as though they were giving free food.

In the end, I settled for this.

Prawn mee and muar chee and banana juice (no pix)

Alfred's choice. He ordered this with another bowl of something (I can't believe I forgot what it was).

Bought eggs from Cold Storage and then went back home. It was really kind of Alfred to walk back home with me. Thank you! But I pitied your legs have to walk back all the way back to Mutiara. You are indeed a great gem for a friend! :D

Today, the breakfast session was still busy but not as crazy as yesterday. More people checked out today. Came back home sleepy as usual. I think the 3pm sleepy disease is still there. Can't help it but to sleep in the afternoon when I am at home.

Woke up when it was dinner time!

Belacan fried rice. Yummy! Why everything there so yummy one? I want to eat eggs at home also cannot!! Too irresistible!!!

9-5pm shift tomorrow. Hope it will not be busy. Hee hee!!

Last day of April, the eve of Labour Day

The breakfast yesterday morning was fantastic. As I was working from 9-5pm, I was not expecting to have breakfast there. Maybe just a cup of milk to start my day at the canteen but the selection that I saw was very surprising, in a good way.

It was like a mini buffet. The sausages were delicious!

Later in the afternoon, Ernie asked me to go to Ferringgi Grill to help out after lunch. When I went there, no one was in sight except Kak Aishah who was vacuuming the place.

First time being at the fine dining restaurant of Rasa Sayang, I had to snap some pictures.

The view of Chi, The Spa from the restaurant

The view does look great from here.

Oh look at the ambience

Table for two

I love this place! Too bad my training in F&B is coming to an end.

Went to church with Alfred today and I was glad he had a good time. The title of the sermon was Instructions to the Rich. Interesting topic. Pastor Isaac was really funny!

One way to diagnose if you love God more than money or vice versa.

Which statement makes you sad?

1. There is no God.
2. There is not a single cent in my bank account.

There were a couple of statements to test but I forgot. :P

The initial plan after church service was to go to Gurney Drive for dinner but I wanted to let Alfred see where Eden Seaview and Pinang Emas are so we went to Leong Seng Cafe for dinner.

Chicken Sambal

After mixing the chicken with the rice.

Tomorrow is Labour Day but I have to work. Happy Labour Day to those who are resting from work!

Fun day out with Lynn and Theing

Coincidentally, my off day is the same with Lynn and we went out as early as 10am for breakfast at McD then to Gurney Plaza to watch two movies; The Roommate and Red Riding Hood.

In my opinion, The Roommate is quite interesting as the psychotic roommate is portrayed insanely well. Red Riding Hood on the other hand, provides suspense as to who is the real werewolf. I didn't manage to guess the werewolf so I suppose the plot is good. :)

The highlight of the day was of course food. The main talk about Penang is always about the food. The most famous place that everyone knows has the widest variety of food is Gurney Drive!

Pasembor, rojak and the best laksa in Gurney Drive from stall 11.

My first bowl of cendol after staying in Penang for almost 4 months.

Fried oyster. Delicious!

Wei Theing who doesn't eat oyster asked whether she can only order the fried egg in future without the oysters. So funny! Hence, the name of the stall should be changed to Fried Egg Or Chien.

Chatted and laughed and finally we bade farewell at 9pm. That was one long day out! The next one might be two weeks later. Hopefull we can make it!

My first Easter in Penang

Easter service was great as usual and I enjoyed the worship session very much.

My Easter lunch today! It was very delicious.

Wedges, ayam kicap, some mixed gravy, brinjal and rice. RM5.50. Not too bad huh?

Went to work with no idea that I would be stepping into a war zone. It was Easter Brunch day (RM120++ for adult and RM60++ for child) with free flow of beers and house wines. Tell me who doesn't want to go? That's why when I reached at 2.50pm, there were still many guests still around happily eating and chit-chatting. The buffet closed at 3pm. Wow, it's really overwhelming.

The Easter Bunny at the entrance of Lobby Lounge.

Some lost pictures from last week's outing.

Hard Rock Hotel once again

11 more working days at SMC. Got a RM50 tip from guest last night. Better than working for 9 hours at banquet. Hahaha!!!

Thank God It's Friday!

Blessed Good Friday, everyone! Let's reminisce the goodness of the Lord today (not only today but every day, okay?) Jesus saved us from our sins today. He still does. I want to thank the Lord for always being there for me through thick and thin. All glory to the Lord!

Thanks for the peace.

Thanks for the joy.

Thanks for wholesome life.

And lastly, thanks for the cross.

Looking forward to Easter. It's another year but He stays the same now and forever. Isn't He a great God? :)
