Wedding dinner at Syuen Hotel - Charis' Wedding

Collected enough photos worthy to blog! After three times working part-time at Syuen, I went there for the fourth time as a guest.

Love the cake design.

Oh ya, congratulations to Charis and Samuel on your wedding!

Our table. I forgot to take the gold box home. :(

A random picture of the event. Caught Sue Jane in a candid.

Tried panorama shots again. Getting better at it.

The moment the food presentation started, I had a surge of nostalgia. I still remember I waited with the other staffs outside in another three occasions carrying the first dish waiting for instruction.

Jellyfish, prawn salad, eggs and nuts. Too bad the horse is not edible.

Crab chowder. Tasted better than the one in Oversea.

Roasted chicken. No good.

I hope Chee Foo doesn't read my blog. It was fun mixing your drinks and garnishing it with flower and cherries. :)

So beautiful right? It's a mocktail. A concoction of chinese tea and Sprite.

Fish! See the sifu (Chee Foo) cutting the fish.

Fried prawns. Delicious. I ate 10 prawns that day. 8 for lunch (the prawns from Oversea) and 2 of the ones in the picture.

Asher and Chloe

Aunty Susan, Asher, Chloe

Mushroom dish. The broccoli is delicious.

Fried rice. I took only a few spoonfuls.

Desserts! Red beans tong sui

That's the end of the FOOD and a couple of CUTIES. Let's move on to not so cute humans but still pretty. Hahaha!!!

The girls and the bride and groom. I have been waiting for the right camera owner to upload the picture but I shall post it in another post as a lost picture like the one below.

Lost picture. Should be in the other wedding dinner post but I'm too lazy to edit that one. So here it is. Koalas!

P.S. Exam is officially over! I want to do a lot of things. Maybe time to get back to novels? Or cross stitch?

A day before sitting for the final paper that unlocks the way to freedom

It's another Monday and tomorrow will be the final day of exam for me. What am I doing here when I am supposed to be studying? I have no idea. I feel sorry for leaving my laptop alone. So will be harassing it for a while more before off to the notes and keep Facebook away for a while.

Gonna watch She-Wolf before I revise. The plot is getting interesting. How will Noah escape from prison and will Lyka continue to be safe without his protection?

Here's a preview for the next post: Charis' wedding dinner last night. Still waiting for other photos to be uploaded by friends so this post is delayed till I have gathered enough photos.

The Yau-Liew Wedding. Precious Moments themed. How cute!

Wedding dinner at Oversea Restaurant

The dinner at Oversea Restaurant was a really filling one. It was the post-wedding celebration of mom's cousin's son a.k.a. my second cousin's. Sounds complicated, huh?

The 001 table. Look at the cute koalas that are given out as souvenirs for each guest.

The menu. See, I am so kind. I would have been selfish enough not to post this picture up since I don't read Chinese but I still post it up because I know some of my readers do. Faster say thank you.

My koala.

Mother and son playing with the koalas. I think I will win something if I submit this picture for any Mother's Day competition. Hehe... Oh, please don't steal this picture. It might not win. I am just kidding. =P

First dish.

The first time ever seeing a dish served this way. Guess what it was.

Taraa! It's soup with mushroom, abalone, chicken feet and meat inside. Really gai bao qi (translation: chicken, abalone, shark fins)

Another shot.

My comment: Not very tasty. Should have been boiled longer before serving.

Menu cover. Showing off I have been to Oversea Restaurant. Wahahaha!

WARNING: The next picture is strictly non-halal. So if there are any Muslim readers, please close your eyes while scrolling until you feel that the pig picture has disappeared.

Crunchy skin. Yum yum!

There should be another picture of the steamed fish but we got carried away snapping photographs so I missed the fish picture. It's enough to imagine it as a big bawal hitam STEAMED. I have said that, haven't I? Oops, forgetful me. Let's move on to the next dish.

Prawns cooked in a special gravy that I slowly got used to. There's cashew nuts.... hmm... what else? I don't know but it can pass as delicious.

Another shot of my koala, still clinging onto its boomerang.

Vege with fake shark fins (crab chowder)

I always skip this dish every dinner because I am already full by the time the pulut rice reaches the table.

Tried panorama mode for the first time. First attempt looks not bad, right?

Second attempt. Less frames. I think only 2 frames.

Final attempt. Perfect. Can see half the table. Someday, I must go snap a picture of KLCC.

Desserts! Some sweet bao and mango-filling pancakes with fresh cream.

I never missed desserts since I always miss the pulut rice.

The white fungus+gingko+soya bean milk. Stuffed at this point.

Red wine imported from Australia. I think you can guess by now that the couple who got married were from Australia. That's why they come up with koalas as gifts.

Mr. Saunders, daddy of the bride chatting with dad about some electrical stuffs. He seemed like a nice man.

After the event:

The scenery from upstairs.

The groom and bride proposing a toast

Mom's cousin's son a.k.a. my second cousin (Is this correct, mom? I am bad with relating myself with relatives.)

The pretty bride's name is Victoria. Just found out that Vicky is the short name for Victoria.

Grandma kiasu wanna have her picture snapped too. I named this picture Grandma Icky. Hehe..

That's all for tonight. What a long post this is. Might post the wedding dinner tomorrow night if I am hardworking enough. Gaining KGs again. Thank you God for the food blessings! ♥

Red-Eared Sliders

I recorded a video of the terrapins (I just know they are known as Red-Eared Sliders) eating vege last night. Please bear with the poor quality. =D

L did nothing in the video. All he did was watching Light and Missa as usual. I don't know why they are so interesting to L. Next time I must watch them like L does most of the time. Maybe I will find some interest in terrapin-watching too.

Got a wedding dinner to attend to tonight. And tomorrow night. April is a popular month for weddings!

P.S. The paper today was quite easy but the poor lighting pained my eyes. The first paper caused me headache as the light above me was flickering. I thought someone was snapping pictures for college brochures at first. Change the bulb, please. Totally not conducive for students to sit for exam with such poor lighting.

Keropok lekor

Continuation from the previous post. Another two additional pictures from Ju Dee's camera.

Try guessing which is Ju Dee's and Patricia's hand.

The plastic that came with the bracelet. Poor Patricia. Her name has been misspelled terribly. And Ju Dee has turn into Jude the dude.

A special credit for Patricia for bringing back such delicious keropok lekor from Terengganu.

After frying

Absolutely delicious when dipped in sauce before putting into your mouth.

P.S. Crystle has turned into a kutu dog. Time to add some kerosene in her shampoo.

New bracelet

First paper down. I pray that God will bless the answer sheet so that I can pass the subject. I can finally keep Marketing off my head. Next will be Sales Development & Merchandising on Saturday. Can't wait to finish all of my papers and then a sweet, sweet break after that.

Three weeks ago, I made a purchase and I collected it from Alfread today.

Pretty or not?

It might look pretty but it can only be really pretty if it suits my wrist.

You be the judge. Does it suit my skin tone? Ju Dee and Patricia has each got one too with different colours. I hope Ju Dee posts the picture of the '3 Wrists' soon in Facebook or wherever so I that I can share it here. =D

It's time for L to go to bed. Same goes for Kaka, Kiki's brother/sister (not sure of its gender).

Top: L resting on Black L
Bottom: Kaka lounging on the bridge waiting for morning to come

Was browsing through some Samsung Corby wallpapers and had a crazy time downloading them (so many!) and when I wanted to save a Christian wallpaper, the website crashed on me! Stupid devil, get away in the name of Jesus and let me save my beloved wallpaper! And don't come back.

JESUS RULES!! :O)

L is watching this space

First paper starts tomorrow and I will be too blue to blog during the examination period. It's only for a few days that seems like years to me. To compensate for my absence, I shall let L guard this space just like how he guards Light and Missa now.

Looking closely at his enemies. He's so cute.

Each time I pass by, his head suddenly disappears. Still afraid of me. Never mind. There's still time.

Marketing, can we please get this over and done with quick?
